Man is there anything the media reports these days that is even substantial rumours? It seems as if everyone just spouts obvious statements and tries to pass it off as news rather then merely guessing like all of us can do.

 

I would love to get rid of Dickey and bring in a Kazmir/Iwakuma in his place. It really kills me wasting 2 roster spots for a back of the rotation pitcher.

With the Reds likely trading Chapman, what would they be able to get? It the Jays are rolling with Stro + 4 mediocre guys, he is about as sure fire as you can get out of the bullpen. Gotta love the idea of guys like Ortiz facing Cecil AND Chapman in the same game.

It's too bad that Toronto blew their load last year. I don't see any conceivable way that they can competitively acquire Chapman without making the MLB team worse.

 

The Dodgers have a lot of good prospects. Some guys that are expendable to them, like Austin Barnes, Zach Lee, and Jose Peraza are MLB ready commodities that have actual value. Could see a couple of those guys as part of a Chapman package.
