Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I meant to mention that last night to Gruber, it's not Wright's arm, it's his back. That goes for you too Montreal Kid.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Hopefully here comes the Cueto meltdown
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Tom Verducci has been an incredible colour guy for Fox. He doesn't speak up a whole lot, but when he does it's almost always insightful - or even better, researched. The one good thing about the broadcast, which is terrible in general. He's like the opposite of Harold Reynolds, who just talks off the cuff, talks all of the time to fill any silent air, and seems to just be wilfully ignorant about a lot of things. I remember Joe Buck being sort of boring but professional nonetheless. However, he's seemed largely disinterested and boring all playoffs. A lot of the time this is how he'll play-by-play call an at bat: "strike one... here's the 0-1... ball one... here's the 1-1.... good rip on 1-1... (insert Ned Yost reference)... (no comment on ball 2)... 2-2 pitch... Moustakas! - Hosmer! ----- inning over." so f***ing boring, Buck

It'd be better if Verducci and Ugghhh...Reynolds were there.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Mets got a break on the blown DP. Got to make them pay.
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Terrible non challenge. Maybe if you only have one, but with two?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Terrible non challenge. Maybe if you only have one, but with two? Ned Yost, brah!
art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 prob stating the obvious here - cheering for a team not to win is not very satisfying....
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Zobrist, lol. He gun get paid!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 prob stating the obvious here - cheering for a team not to win is not very satisfying.... Meh, I'd want the Mets to win, regardless.
candymartinez Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Buck: "the lineup is good one though nine." lol
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 A-rod should go into broadcasting
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 The resurrection of Arod cred continues. A year ago who would have imagined him commentating on a WS broadcast?

Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Lagares usually catches that one.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 surprisingly, i like listening to arod... pretty interesting insights from a (current) player's perspective... why surprisingly. he's a very humble and likable guy
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 surprisingly, i like listening to arod... pretty interesting insights from a (current) player's perspective... All I can think about is a half man half horse centaur with a headset on
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 surprisingly, i like listening to arod... pretty interesting insights from a (current) player's perspective... PED's or not Arod is in rareified air when it comes to what he has done on a ball field. Lots of knowledge.
art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 why surprisingly. he's a very humble and likable guy because for the bulk of his career, he was the exact opposite of that...
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 The resurrection of Arod cred continues. A year ago who would have imagined him commentating on a WS broadcast? He sounds 100 times more professional than Reynolds lol
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 He sounds 100 times more professional than Reynolds lol Barry Davis and O2 are more popular than Reynolds on this Board.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Barry Davis and O2 are more popular than Reynolds on this Board. I tried to give him a chance, I really did. But the whistling was too much lol.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 My MLB TV feed is choppy AF. Anyone else experiencing this?
