have to agree, his reads are not very good and he takes some bad routes, but his arm had been really good. After the injury he had 2 good throws in 1 game and then back to limp arm again. Without the big arm he's not even replacement level in RF

He gets style points for that stupid jump he always does when he gets near the wall and the ball isn't even close to him, so he jumps to make it look like he was close.

so you're saying style and stubbornness?

just because you are comfortable talking about it doesn't mean everyone else is in that position. This forum has a lot of childish people who would love to have new reasons to torment people, we shouldn't be giving them fuel.

People trash other posters when they find out they are older... Or on gd for being a teenager or because the person comes from new market or isn't canadian or because they like tampa. We are more diversified than most think, but many don't bring it up openly because they see how people here react. Cecil made the mistake of posting a pic with family members portrayed in the pic and the response from some in here was disgusting.

That is why we leave those things to the people who are different. We accept for who they are no matter what and if they choose to talk to anyone here about personal things they can do it of their own accord.

BTS!!!! :P

What do people think of targeting a player like Kevin Gausman? I know he is with a rival but they way they have used him suggests they don't value him as much as they should. Not sure the Jays have what the Orioles would want though. I could see them wanting Pompey but Jays probably wouldn't do that unless Baltimore added another piece.

I think his usage comes from an abundance of caution and they probably still consider him to be nearly untouchable.

perhaps. They do have a need at SP so it would be stupid to trade him. Baltimore might be the worst team in the AL next year but I don't think know it yet.

Yeah they have holes all over the diamond. Lots of core players they probably won't be able to retain. Davis, Wieters, Chen, Parra, O'Day...

For all of the credit that Duquette and Showalter were getting the last couple of years, that organization looks like it was terribly mismanaged at this point. To have all of those players hitting FA at the same time and to have their farm in the terrible state that it's in is pretty bad. Aside from the seriously injured Hunter Harvey and Dylan Bundy, they have like, one other actual prospect. Trading Eduardo Rodriguez for Miller looks terrible right now - they really couldn't afford to do that.

With the division they are in they should just tear it down right now and do a proper rebuild. Machado and Jones would get an absolute s*** ton of young talent.

However with their owner it would never happen.

Trading a 23-year old franchise player for prospects is a very bad idea.

They already missed the boat on aquiring some great young talent. They should have dealt Davis, Chen, Oday, etc. at the deadline.

Machado will stay 100%, but I think they'll trade Jones in the offseason.

Letting him rot for the next 3 years with a s***** roster then see him walk away into FA is a worse idea.

Contract extension maybe? Ever heard of those?

Can teams still give qualifying offers at this point??

Nevermind for this case

The option was only for 9M, obv they wou;dn't want to offer 14-15M in case he takes it LOL
