Vs "Kiss me, I'm pretty" The season is on the line tonight with the Blue Jays. A win and they play another day, A loss and that is all she wrote. Going to the mound for the Jays is a pitcher who is 0-7 in post season starts. This is a huge game for David Price personally if he fails to secure a victory tonight, it may significantly impact the amount of dollars headed his way this offseason. Another challenge for the Jays is how to adapt to hitting in Kauffman Stadium. They need to modify their approach to go for base hits and doubles as opposed to mashing home runs like they did in both their victories in this series. They will face Yordano Ventura. A tough pitcher, their #2 behind Johnny Cueto, who limited the Jays to 3 runs in 5 1/3 in game two. The Jays will need to find a way to get to him as they did Cueto in game 3 and Volquez in game 5 if they want to have a winner take all game seven. On offense, the Jays have been getting some good at bats from Troy Tulowitzki this series with him striking for a .368 Avg, 1.000 OPS, along with an HR and 7 RBI in the first 5 games. In order for the Jays to stand a better chance tonight, they will need Russell Martin, Ryan Goins and Ben Revere to hit better. The Trio have struggled thus far with Martin collecting only 3 hits in 23 AB and Goins not fairing much better with 5 in 33 at bats. Game time is 8 PM eastern. Go Jays Go.
Floortom Verified Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I'm looking for Edwin, Martin and Revere to step up and have good at bats. They've really been struggling. And of course, Price needs to have a quality start
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Let's go Blue Jays. Let's go... *clap clap*
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Holy early. Jonn might cry. Honestly though, why aren't we throwing out our top GDT starters all postseason? We have fun with that all season.

We have fun with that all season. Already had my cry this morning. I'm good. 6:20 AM GDT sounds like a death sentence but it could work out who knows.

puphood Verified Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I hope Price proves me wrong about his purchase....
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 If he can do what he did through the first 6 innings in game 2 I'd be ecstatic.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Hope the Jays absolutely mash Ventura. I want to see crooked numbers and a hook by the 3rd.

Production from catchers on both teams hasn't been close. Revere started with us in one of these funks and then busted out on a rampage. Lets hope that starts today. Lets go Jays!!

It was 4:20 AM my time, so just chill everyone, it'll be okay. Coincidentally, every time the Flames and Jays have played on the same day since the start of the hockey season, it's been a loss for both sides. They play Detroit tonight. Just wanted to change it up a bit and am hoping that by starting the thread myself might be the mojo to change things. Not superstitious at all....
labadee Verified Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 If you don't like it, pitch better. do it, price. let's go blue jays

We are coming off a successful GDT but I will call off the dogs. The only way we win tonight is if David Price is good so as long as that takes place we should be fine. I really thought the only bad pitches in that inning were to Hosmer and Gordon otherwise Kansas City just found all the holes.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 The only way we Win Jonn is by scoring one more Run then Kansas City no matter what,Believe it!!! GO JAYS GO!!! Just Win Baby, JUST WIN !!!
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Took a rare walk in the last game. That' something. Yup....got it at a key time in that rally too. We can work with that. I think Martin is a sleeper. He will wake up today and do some damage.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Ventura is one ugly dude

If Price starts to be iffy at any point, I hope that Gibbons pulls him instead of leaving him out there to give up 5 runs. We have a dynamite foursome between Hendricks, Lowe, Sanchez and Osuna. Use them.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Price will have lots of rope, hopefully he doesn't need it. Give the guy enough rope and he will hang himself
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 You guys, I have a really good feeling about tonight. And regardless of what happens today and tomorrow, we were at least the 3rd last team standing and made it to within two games of the World Series, and that's seriously f***ing cool.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I think it's going to be a bullpen game.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Price will have lots of rope, hopefully he doesn't need it. Price had 6 brilliant innings last time out and not much of what was hit against him was good contact. I think he's got it.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I think it's going to be a bullpen game. Nah. This is Price's game to win or lose. He's in there for 100 pitches no matter what.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Nah. This is Price's game to win or lose. He's in there for 100 pitches no matter what. 120 if he gets on a roll.... that would be the best. 9 inning complete game win and we would could throw the kitchen sink at them tomorrow.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
