Winning this one. Martin has been relatively quiet at the plate and calling a big game from him today with the stick...

Both he and Edwin have looked pretty locked in at the plate. E-Rex has more to show for it.

As the game gets nearer, I can feel the anticipation starting to creep over my brain and begin to block out work-related GO BLUE JAYS

Definitely.. you know, because there's no chance that Cueto just pitched a bad game right...?! Man these players make you shake your head sometimes.

U r so smrt. Can you pull any numbers on his relative velocity? I feel like he probably releases the ball substantially closer to the plate than most pitches. An 87 MPH sucks, but it sucks less when it's traveling 53 feet instead of 55, or whatever.

Perceived velocity adds something like 6mph to his fastball.

But this table in this article (http://grantland.com/the-triangle/2015-mlb-actual-versus-perceived-velocity-statcast-pitcher-data-carter-capps/) disagrees and has Young's extension as essentially normal, adding nothing to his fastball.

I dunno

Can we please shut down Escobar tonight and have his hits switch places with Revere? We really need Revere to get on one of his line drive rolls.

This never happened even for the 12pm games last series. Maybe the hype has died down. Seems odd though after that great game last night... I would go if I can get off work early
