How was he supposed to accomplish anything with a 20 game trial? Wasn't like Pillar delivered much until he got a real chance to play either.

 

I said " he would deal Pillar in a heartbeat for the right return". That's a huge caveat. Our team would have to be made net better given we lose what I think will be a fairly consistent 2.5 to 3.5 WAR player still cheap.

 

It may be Pompey who gets moved. We'll see.

 

I doubt either of them get moved since someone will need to play RF when Bautista isnt around after this year, unless of course they are involved in a trade thag brings back another OF.

Update projections have him as our 2nd most valuable player. He makes 500K a year and is under control for another 4 years. Durable, plays a premium position and his wife trolled Barry Davis.

 

He has defied the odds, the haters and the hive and become one of the faces of our franchise.
