art_vandelay275 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 marquez who is in our series would not have called those high strikes... idiot!
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Holy lack of plate discipline so far by the Astros. Tanaka's making the Astros look awful.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Altuve should have walked 3 times. Made Springer look like a baby back bitch though.
Jellz Verified Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Astros weren't even close on some of those swings
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 the strike zone graphic is annoying. who's the chick?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Based on what, win totals? By run differentials, the AL has one team that is flat out better (Toronto) and one that is flat out worse (Texas). 221 111 83 66 18 122 101 81 72 70 We know from interleague play that the AL is a more competitive league though, so every AL team gets brownie points. I guess you could make an argument about playoff roster strength though, and it would go like this. 1. Top of rotation pitching is the most important thing in playoff baseball. 2. The NL seems to have more top of the rotation pitchers on its teams. 3. Therefore the NL has the better playoff teams. NL "Aces" (4+ fWAR) Lynn Cole Liriano Arrieta Lester Kershaw Greinke deGrom Syndergaard Harvey AL "Aces" Price Keuchel McHugh Cueto Tanaka Pineda Hamels 10-7 for the NL Not sure Hamels can be considered an ace.. much of his numbers were helped by playing awful AL West teams, especially in September when most teams are playing out the string.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Damn. Dunno who to cheer for: a Jays-Yanks ALCS would be pretty sweet.
