InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Moreno was DHing today and left the game after 2 ABs I wonder what's up with that? This was his final plate appearance, doesn't look like he hurt himself and being the DH wouldn't have fielded after
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Nah that does look like he tweaked something sliding into second. Jammed his right knee. Grabs it after the slide. Walks funny. Knee injury.
InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 If it was anything it doesn't seem serious
InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 The bases were loaded. He pulled a top 10 prospect in baseball for a guy with a .700 career minor league OPS. Either the Bisons have a dumb manager or he doesn't want to tell us the answer
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 bizarre i can't see a call up happening
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 bizarre i can't see a call up happening Maybe it was an internal disciple thing. He broke team curfew or got a little too big for his bridges with coaches. The other explanation doesn’t make sense. Or he felt something tingle (not in his pants) and they were being cautious

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Moreno now officially labeled as injury-prone??
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Moreno now officially labeled as injury-prone?? Why is he hurt?

The other explanation doesn’t make sense. Or he felt something tingle (not in his pants) and they were being cautious Maybe the manager felt he didn’t hustle on that ball off the wall? Who knows. I think that would be a very stupid reason to bench him. But I’ve seen dumber things happen.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 bizarre i can't see a call up happening "Just looking to make a change" sounds more like someone contemplating a new haircut than a manger explaining why he actually pulled a top 10 prospect mid game.
King Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Lmao Steamer projects Moreno for a 130 wRC+ RoS. Not sure I've seen a prospect that high before their debut

Either the Bisons have a dumb manager or he doesn't want to tell us the answer I have to admit, on the surface I don't like this decision. If he was pulled because he wasn't doing well, was hurting or something like that then fine. But pulling a guy because you can is a bad move.

max silver Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Got to go with your gut, always Maybe it wasn't that the manager had a gut feeling but Moreno was having gut feelings after a bad burrito or something.

That idea flies in the face of the evidence "just looking to make a change" Also I eat lots of burritos, never had a bad one

I’ve had gas station sushi and gas station tuna. Won’t ever have either again Not sure if you can get away with their burritos

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Like the not so secret George Brett hemorrhoids situation? Yes, could be That wasn't hemorrhoids. It was his bi-annual pants pooping.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 That wasn't hemorrhoids. It was his bi-annual pants pooping. lol... that story was hilarious with him at the casino. The hemorrhoids story is real, though.
