Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 I dunno. But, it is generally good advice. I only take advice I pay for.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 I report a change to BA's rankings, and get insults from 3 people.

InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 where did they put Pinto Not listed on any roster. Not sure if they just want him at extended spring for a bit longer given he came to camp late because of the trade. Of if they're looking at the FCL when it starts for him. I assumed he'd go to Dunedin
InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Looks like we've got the rosters for all the minor league teams now. Listing the mlb.com's top 30 prospects at each as well as some others I'm intrigued by Buffalo: Francis(15), Taylor(16), Eisert, Kay, Spraker, Palacios, Warmoth, Young New Hampshire: O.Martinez(2), Danner(17), Hernandez(18), Murray(24), Espino(25), Juenger(26), T.Morris(29), Horwitz(30), Castillo, Luciano, Clarke, Cook, Robertson Vancouver: Jimenez(5), Robberse(7), Kloffenstein(11), Hiraldo(12), Dallas(22), Palmer(23), Gregory, Barger, Tirotta, Britton, Dunedin: Tiedemann(6), Machado(13), De Castro(14), Brown(27), Santos(28), Cooke, Dominguez, Rojas, Mesia, Palmegiani, G.Martinez Other: Moreno(1): Extended Spring, listed on Buffalo's reserve list and will go there whenever they think he's ready because of the late start because of the visa issues Groshans(3): Injured Lopez(4): Buffalo's 7 Day IL Van Eyk(8): Tommy John Beltre(9): Presumably still in extended spring to play FCL Carter(10): Presumably still in extended spring to play FCL Zulueta(19): Unknown, I know he got hurt last year, thought he might be ready by now Meza(20): either FCL or DSL likely Aponte(21): Presumably still in extended spring to play FCL Hatch: Buffalo's reserve list Pinto: Presumably still in extended spring to either play FCL or go to Dunedin after getting some extra work
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 I'm looking forward to seeing Estiven Machado finally he healthy...... Hopefully.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 I'm looking forward to seeing Estiven Machado finally he healthy...... Hopefully. Yeah, I think this is his full season debut right?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 Yeah, I think this is his full season debut right? Actually I think he may have played 1 game for Dunedin last season
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Actually I think he may have played 1 game for Dunedin last season He's a dude I'll be keeping an eye on this year. Beltre also, too.
InsideThePark Verified Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Actually I think he may have played 1 game for Dunedin last season IIRC he had 1 at bat in the FCL and got hurt and was out for the rest of the year
jerb Verified Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Sam Dykstra @SamDykstraMiLB Some #BlueJays Minor League updates: -Otto Lopez is dealing w/ minor oblique discomfort. Jays didn't want to push him. Expected to be good in a few weeks at Buffalo. -Irv Carter dealt with chest discomfort this spring. Good now, but still being built up. Won't open at Single-A. Sam Dykstra @SamDykstraMiLB -Yosver Zulueta is throwing 96-99 in camp. Still getting extended in XST, but Jays are optimistic about his health going into 2022 after the torn ACL last year.
jerb Verified Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 paula @paulacastroms Replying to @SamDykstraMiLB Any news on where pardinho is going to start? Sam Dykstra @SamDykstraMiLB Eric Pardinho is also in extended right now in a similar situation to Zulueta. Building up innings (around three right now). Might be too early to talk about an assignment until he gets the full green light, but after a lost 2021, the Jays seem encouraged to start '22.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 Zulueta is intriguing. There's not much info on him, but that's a hell of an arm, and they seem to be of the opinion that he's a starter, at least until he proves that he isn't....

Every reliever is a failed starter. He hasn't failed yet.

We lucked out on getting someone as competent as Shapiro. Can anyone imagine a 75 year old Paul Beeston understanding the improvements needed?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 We lucked out on getting someone as competent as Shapiro. Can anyone imagine a 75 year old Paul Beeston understanding the improvements needed? Certainly not. Beeston was a great president in his era, but it was time for him to step aside. I think the go ahead for this facility played a large role in enticing Shapiro to come to Canada.

Yeah I can definitely see that, you can tell the guy is passionate and proud about this facility as he should be. He's very candid that he wants this to be a competitive advantage with players and staff.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2022 Author Posted April 8, 2022 Tiedemann getting the start for Dunedin tonight. Kloffenstein for Vancouver.
