I have him ranked inside the org top 15 right now. Not sure if that'll pass the editorial phase (Radio Scouts group input), but I think we're all sleeping on him. Hopefully this will help get the hype train a-rollin'.

I'm all in. I think he can be a #3.

Otto Lopez better not be omitted like everyone else is. I know Winck will be well represented

Also excited about Joey Murray. He’s pitching at the top of the zone and his Ball keeps going up and up. You love to see those strikeout numbers for guys that don’t rely on stuff. Impressive season from him. Would like to picture him in the rotation in the future.

Updated farm rankings for Baseball America

1. TB Rays

2. Padres

3. White Sox

4. Braves

5. Dodgers

6. Blue Jays

7. Twins

8. Marlins

9. Orioles

10. Cleveland

2019 Preseason: 3 | 2018: 8 | 2017: 20 | 2016: 24 | 2015: 9 | 2014: 15

4 Top 100 prospects: SS Bo Bichette (6), RHP Nate Pearson (15), SS Jordan Groshans (42), RHP Eric Pardinho (95)

Notes: Toronto graduated No. 1 prospect in baseball Vladimir Guerrero Jr. but helped replenish its farm system in the Marcus Stroman trade with the Mets that netted Triple-A LHP Anthony Kay and 18-year-old RHP Simeon Woods-Richardson , the youngest pitcher in the Florida State League. The pitchers moved into the Blue Jays’ top 10.

Biggest riser: Diamondbacks 23–>16

Biggest fall: Astros 7–>15

Reason: Greinke trade + Alvarez graduation

It's nice to see the farm in a nice place despite so many graduations.

Manoah, Kay, Pardinho, Woods-Richardson, Moreno, and Kirk are all Top 100 guys to me at this point.

Pearson and Groshans are obvious, I think he means among the "on the cusp according to industry" guys.

yes, I agree. He will be omitted from the list as he will be in the MLB.

He'd still be eligible, dippus shittus.

I wasn't following your conversation long enough to know when you were talking about the list changing for the top 15. Once Alford is in the mlb for some time he won't be on any prospect list. He should be there now. He will be there in September. Alford could put up a 90 wrc+ and quite easily be a 2+ win player. You've yet to articulate how you actually rate his offense, defense and base running abilities. Regardless, he's likely going to be dealt in the off season.

Yes, a player who has been terrible for the past few years could easily be an average MLB player. If you wish hard enough, just maybe it will come true!

He didn't have a great year with the bat last year. He has a .762 OPS this year. That's not eye popping, but it's not terrible when you have plus defense and base running.

If he had put a .762 OPS this year with relative consistency throughout the year that would be one thing, but he had a .459 OPS in the first month of the season. He was awful. He's completely turned his season around. He has a .942 OPS in his last 90 days. Guys make adjustments and improve. He's only been fully committed to baseball since 2015 so his development was delayed. The numbers over the last 3 months suggest he's a guy keeping an eye on.

Let me guess. His numbers of late are so good because he's so bad that opposing pitchers feel sorry for him and they are throwing the middle so he can get a few hits and won't feel bad.

Socrates Brito had been good since being sent down to AAA too.

Socrates only has 207 AB at the MLB level and that's not enough if I'm being fair to him, but he's 2 years older and he doesn't provide any value on the defensive side or on the base paths.

This is just straight up incorrect lol. Brito is quite fast and he's a pretty capable defender.

Let me guess. You were one of the people clamoring for him after a week in ST.

You make up these excuses for his performance in your head but none of them matter at all.

Do you know who Socrates Brito is?

Kenny Lofton didn't provide any value on the defensive side or the base paths.

Like seriously, next time, take 2 seconds to google before making yourself look like an idiot.

I'm seeing a guy that was bad for a period and now he has been good for quite a stretch. I'm not making excuses. I'm stating a fact. His .OPS over the last 90 days is.942. His defense and abilities on the base paths have always been above average.

Remember when Bautista was bad and then all the sudden he was good. Let me guess, you were one of the guys who thought Bautista's 5 year contract was a massive overpay when it was signed.

Oh man - I loved watching Kenny lofton play baseball. I have great memories of those early 90's Cleveland teams with Lofton, Belle, Baerga, Thome, Manny, Alomar Jr., Vizquel - all playing before sell out after sell out at the Jake. I was like 11 or 12 at the time. The Jays were winning championships, the Indians were stacked, the Braves were a dynasty, the Mariners (Griffey, Edgar, Buhner, Unit) were awesome, Cubbies were on WGN every afternoon and Frank Thomas had just started to destroy MLB. That's was helped form my love for the game.

He's a corner outfielder. He might be an average outfielder and his speed may be average or even slightly above. He's stolen 36 bags at AAA over 4 years and he's been caught 17 times. I'm not saying he's negative in either category, but relatively speaking he's not even close to what Alford could bring. I should have said he doesn't provide any significant value.

Boxy draws the comparison between Brito and Lofton and I'm the idiot.

The stuff looks solid on the surface but the results just haven't been there consistently. I know, results as a whole don't mean that much in the minors but the fact that his K rate is mediocre doesn't instill much swing-and-miss confidence. I don't expect that he'll have any success at all as a starter, but I'm holding out hope that maybe his stuff plays up in the pen and the FB/CB combo can be effective there.

Socrates Brito is 12th in the entire league in sprint speed.

"his speed may average or even slightly above"

Just admit you don't know what you're talking about in an effort to make Alford look good. Brito sucks but it's not like he doesn't have any tools, he's not Rowdy Tellez who has a bit of power and nothing else. Boxy isn't comparing anyone, he's using a hyperbole claim which mimics your own since you clearly don't know who you're talking about here.

Tyler O'Neill coming in with a top 10 Sprint speed? Woah! Would not have expected that

Yeah the dude is seriously fast. He could be so good if he got those strikeouts under control.
