I really hope you don't mean pitcher losses.

Yes, because you need to learn how to win in the minors so you can bring that to the majors

Anthony Kay:. 6IP, 1H, 1R, 0ER, 5BB, 8K.

I don't know if I like or hate that line.

I'll take it, it's progress.

Just look at his overall line and judge based on that. 15 inning 17 ks, 11 walks...

well look at his entire body of work which is a bit better...

Is he David Purcey??

No David Purcey was worse in his aproximately equivalent season in 2006 (awful at aa and aaa). Kay is spectacular at aa, and sketchy (but not as bad as Purcey) at aaa.

Simeon Woods Richardson dominating right now.

5IP, 1H, 0R, 1BB, 5K

His line in Dunedin after this start:

13.2 IP

18 K

5 BB

1 HR

6 H

6 ER (for those that care I guess)

Did I mention he's the youngest pitcher in all of A+?

Wasn’t he also the youngest qualified arm in A ball before the promotion? Or at least close to the youngest.

This guy is special

Pretty damn fantastic.

Hypothetically, if his last 2-3 starts are more of the same, do the Jays get aggressive with him next season and start him in AA?

Probably start him in A+ but promote quickly if he continues to dominate high A hitters

I think this is unlikely. The most likely scenario is he starts in A+ and gets promoted quickly after a solid 5-10 starts.

Anthony Kay's fastball:

how about Jose Rivas. 5 for 5 with a double and a walk. the 5'9", 18 year old is now batting .308 in the GCL.

he actually got a decent bonus of 280k so this guy could be another pop up prospect.

Eric Pardinho is younger by a little bit but was held back by injury. A promotion to Dunedin is probably in order for him as wrll.

There are also some weather considerations. He'll be on some sort of innings limit and should be handled carefully anyway. I bet they'll spare him the first month of New Hampshire weather.

Pardinho's K and BB rates aren't as dominant as I'd like them to be. I wonder if he is still searching for some crispness on his arsenal. Only 37.2 innings this year.

Probably starts 2020 in Dunedin regardless.

Miguel Hiraldo: 2-for-5 with a stolen base

Gabriel Moreno: 2-for-4 with a HR

Alejandro Kirk: 2-for-3 with a walk

From people that know a heck of a lot more about prospects than myself, who has more upside/potential Kirk or Moreno?

I know it's early, and lots can change.

Moreno physically has a huge advantage.

Kirk has a longer track record of excellence (has never struck out more than he's walked at any level) and is only a year older than Moreno, but Moreno has a much more ideal build. I'm always on the Kirk bandwagon but it really could go either way.

Moreno should be much much higher

I would suggest he is out second best prospect after Pearson

He may end up being that, but I think it's way too aggressive to slot him in there just yet.

Really small sample size, but Simeon Woods-Richardson has a 2.74 FIP and 2.77 xFIP in High-A so far. He also has a 11.9 K/9, 3.3 BB/9, and 4.0 H/9

as an 18 year old...
