Didn't realize McKinney had a .886 OPS whilst walking as much as striking out in AAA (30 games).

Yup, he's been locked in and we're short an OF, his call up was obvious.

Wall has to be added to the 40 man roster or risk being exposed in the Rule 5. He really should be in AAA right now if they view him as an asset. He has almost 700 PA in AA.

Meh, he's still there for AB's as there's none available in Buffalo, likely after the deadline we'll see movement, he'll certainly be added to the 40.

Plenty of At bats available, just need the organization to stop lying to themselves with guys like Brito and Pompey.

Is there really a huge difference between AA and AAA? I guess there are more old journeyman pitchers in AAA that spin the ball better and what not. It doesn't seem like a big concern to me. Brito and Pompey are in AAA as insurance policies for injuries so we don't have to prematurely add Wall to the 40 man roster and/or start burning options.

Well, they don't seem to think so, lol.

From multiple older MLB players I asked at a pub, they all said AA, better talent, and that's another good point.

It's absolutely false that AA has better talent. Maybe more likely to have more top prospects at a given time, but the baseline is clearly substantially lower.

It is a difference and this is not a front office that is ever going to promote someone from AA to the majors. There's absolutely no reason why Brito should be blocking anyone. The OF Depth is fine, if Grichuk, Gurriel, Hernandez go down we still have Biggio, Drury, Sogard, Alford, Davis and I guess Pompey too.

Wall is going to have to be added to the 40 man in the offseason regardless.

I hear ya, it's just what they told me, is all.

Do you mind including their wRC+ as well? Some of the leagues are either very pitcher or hitter friendly so it'd be nice to have that accounted for.

Linc (Canada):

Any love for Blue Jays prospect Alejandro Kirk?

Josh Norris: I love Alejandro Kirk very much. No, he doesn't have the best body in the world, but the man puts the bat on the ball. He doesn't strike out a ton, takes his walks, has allowed just four passed balls all year and is throwing out 38 percent of runners. At 20 years old he's gone .315/.424/.470 at two levels of Class A ball. I'm not sure what more you could ask for out of him. He can definitely borrow a feeling.

Borucki with a line of 6IP, 5H, 3R, 3ER, 1BB, 6K

Bichette with another 2/4 night.

18 year old, 2017 IFA signing Jhon Solarte ($10K) has been hitting fairly well and might be a kid to keep an eye on in the next couple of years. 1/2 with a walk in the first half of a double header and then 3/4 in the 2nd half. Up to a .349 AVG and an OPS of .905 for the season.

Josh had another pretty good outing tonight at High-A Dunedin:

6 IP, 8 H, 0 BB, 5 K, and a shitstorm of groundballs.

Yeah, I've been stat watching this kid. I'm also keeping my one catcher Gabriel Moreno also.

Bo with 2 home runs today (game still not over).

He mad.

As soon as Sogard gets traded, he'll be up. There's no point until then.

It's Galvis that needs to go before Bo is called up. I honestly feel that Sogard stays and resigns on a 1+1 type deal.

Jim Callis states that he spoke to an MLB scout today, and that scout claimed that Pearson is the best pitching prospect in baseball.

High praise.

I think one can say Pearson looks very similar to a young Roger Clemens.
