BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 (edited) BA updated their mock draft again, this time having the Jays take OF J.J. Bleday at 11th. L/L 6’3 205 lbs “Toronto could be choosing between a number of college hitters here depending on how the top 10 plays out, but Bleday has been steadily rising all spring with improved power numbers and a fantastic track record of hitting in the SEC. Around this range seems to be the floor for Carroll as well.” Based on their mock, other names @ our pick range: Infielders: 3B Josh Jung, SS Logan Davidson, SS Will Wilson, SS Bryson Stott Outfielders: OF Kameron Misner, OF Hunter Bishop Pitchers: LHP Zach Thompson, RHP Jackson Rutledge, RHP Alek Manoah, RHP Brennan Malone, RHP Daniel Espino, RHP George Kirby, RHP J.J. Goss I personally wouldn’t mind going for best talent available and grab either an elite athlete that can hit like Logan Davidson or swing for the fences by going highest upside prep/juco arms like Daniel Espino and Jackson Rutledge. Don’t think guys like OF Hunter Bishop or OF Corbin Carroll will fall to us as their stocks have risen considerably. Some early mocks also have us picking LHP Nick Lodolo but his stock is rising too, might still be in our pick range. Edited April 10, 2019 by BlueRocky

I find it funny that guys have their stocks rise or fall by so much based on such a small amount of information. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but these mocks are hardly ever accurate and they do like 50 million of them. What's the point?

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 Looks like Groshans got pulled half way through the game. Not sure why.

It can't be worse then the current Dunedin stadium, can it? Also, any hot mom's? *Mods edit* Edited April 11, 2019 by TheHurl
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Brendan McKay with a passable .275/.385/.364 slash line and last night he struck out 11 in four and a third innings. Just a Rays management wet dream.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Yeah 2 players for the price of one for the cheap bastards! It will be great when they have 5 to 10 of them on a roster. Was the new rule must face 3 batters, but did they have to be in a row?
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Hurl, we can see that it was your edit, dipshit Not everyone on the board is as smart as you though Boxy...plus it's kind of s***** to edit people's posts. Even when it's Tercet, I wanted to make it super obvious that he didn't write it

Was the new rule must face 3 batters, but did they have to be in a row? That’s a great question - if it’s allowed we could see relievers playing positions and pitching for 3 non consecutive players, especially in the NL. It could eventually even be the best way to utilise Ohtani (though I want to see him dominate as a starter for a few years first).
Ray Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Groshans not in the Lansing lineup today either
Ray Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 2:06 What happened to Logan Warmoth? He was ranked pretty high in your 2017 draft list Keith Law 2:07 Contact quality has been totally absent with wood. I'm floored - I thought his swing was good and was told his exit velocities in college were no worse than solid.
tercet Verified Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Hurl, we can see that it was your edit, dipshit Video of the temp stadium -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGd8oJcL5R4, its pretty much a high school/complex stadium still nicer then the hunk of junk at dunedin.. TheHurl-the average age of people at these games is like 65-70, so maybe some, more of the parents/gfs/wives are at the complex games.

If I was wrong as often as Keith Law, I'd probably have stopped being surprised when guys I like don't work out by now.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Keith Law liking Warmoth explains why LW sucks so much. At least there's confirmation.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Groshans not in the Lansing lineup today either Jesse Goldberg-Strassler says planned day off. On a side note, my sleeper Otto Lopez is looking like a stud in SSS. 2/4, R, RBI, BB, SB, another solid day. Batting .409, OPS 1.110

I also love Otto Lopez. Alejandro Kirk is may favourite prospect in the entire system, though. He's had a fantastic start.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 He’ll be promoted on Sunday. No thanks. .267 hitter in A-Ball this year. Needs a lot more time.
