Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I don't put much stock into their method (though it's improving), but KATOH has McGuire as the second best prospect dealt yesterday with Ramirez not far behind. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/projecting-the-prospects-traded-yesterday/

We have as much or more depth than teams 6 through 10, but lack a can't miss guy like Crawford or Moncada.

Clearly this farm is in the 12-16 range.

Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I'm thinking 14-17 Just out of curiosity, who do you have ahead? Definitely the Twins for me and I think the Cubs, Padres, and Rays are in that mix. Texas and Cleveland have fallen behind us after the trades in my opinion.

Laika Community Moderator Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Dick Urena promoted to NEW HAMPSHA. AA is a huge test. The three biggest tests for pro players: 1. Pro ball, whatever the debut level 2. AA 3. MLB

He looks good at SS, with range and good arm, but error prone. I saw him a lot here at Dominican Winter Ball. My wife phone --->
venema20 Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 That's a sexy looking lineup now in New Hampshire. I haven't been too excited to follow the FisherCats but with Urena, Tellez, Ramirez, McGuire all there it should be fun. I'd love to get to a game

Stat scouts have written him off, but I think he'd be impressive in person.

Its one thing to have poor stats in Bluefield or lansing, it's another to have poor stats at New Hampshire. He's not a bust, but it's still somewhat concerning.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Jays farm' upper levels is looking like the real deal. f*** you Alex!!
