closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Incredibly Loup may not be available tomorrow. Family medical issue. To think we face that LHH line up just seems surreal. Price will be up if needed. What a shame about Cecil. Just terrible luck. I am starting to second guess not bringing up Buehrle when Cecil went down.

Governator Community Moderator Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I am starting to second guess not bringing up Buehrle when Cecil went down. If you have a runners in scoring position and facing a tough lefty, Buehrle is really not the guy for that spot, he pitches for contact. No one will like my opinion here, but honestly Delabar has reverse splits. Yes he has command issues but he gets whiffs and is pretty damn tough against lefties (career .184 against and >11 K/9). I don't know what use Tepera has for this roster unless it's a blowout but Delabar could replace a lefty in the pen.

It's been do-or-die for like five days now. Completing the comeback would be super sweet, though. Like sugar-coated sugar.

nextyear Verified Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I have to go to work tomorrow. That will be tough. I will only be thinking about the 4 o'clock game.

I'll probably running to the bar across the street to see the last third of the game at quittin' time.
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I'm at work too. I'll probably running to the bar across the street to see the last third of the game at quittin' time. That is tough. I feel bad for you, I couldn't work while the game is on. I have to go to work but can arrange my hours so I am home by 4:07 (first pitch). I will leave work at 4:00 and can be home in almost exactly 7 minutes. My only problem is in trying to accomplish something at work while being preoccupied thinking about the game. However, I just remembered to set my PVR so I won't miss one pitch.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Trouba is trolling again, there hasn't been any word one way or another about Loup. He could be available.

I could have arranged them but doing it for today would have been one-day's notice and I already took half a vacation day last week for game 1. What's worse? My uncle offered me two tickets to tomorrow. Maybe I just don't go in. Maybe I don't go in at all...

With PVR I can rewind and rewatch any play as the game proceeds.

It can't be THAT important unless you're a surgeon or something. I gave my staff the afternoon off a couple of times last week.

I gave my staff the afternoon off a couple of times last week. It's absolutely not that important. But the bosses will have a different view and will think that I put a lot of business on the line because I wanted to see a sporting event, and they'll be right.

You sound sick, better get that checked out.
nextyear Verified Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 You sound sick, better get that checked out. At first I thought that was a put down of International Wok, but then I realized that you're suggesting phoning in sick. Bosses don't like that - especially when they know there is a Blue Jays game on .
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 You sound sick, better get that checked out. I did give myself a rather painful paper cut this afternoon. I haven't even used a sick day in 5+ years at the ministry, so I have a bit of leeway, but some guys are real tightwads.
