From a outside perspective with no real personal opinions on any of the posters. This drama seem asinine to me.

The rules here are very basic and easy to follow. There is no message board where you're going to be able to attack a moderator without consequences.

If you have a problem with something a member of the mod staff has done handle it politely through PM.

 

Being a mod is a very thankless job. It requires a lot of your time and none of them ever want to have to discipline anyone.

Last night: People were pissed off that Trouba kept trolling and no mods were doing anything about it. O2 goes on to say trolling isn't a bannable offense but complaining about trolling is. Board blows up over the stupidity, o2 bans 10 users. And here we are.

 

Here it is:

Trouba is just baiting people into his troll world. amazing that people keep falling for it.

The entire reason we started a new forum (and I donated to it) was to get rid of people like the dogg/zee/trouba. People like king and boxy that know their baseball were never the issue and still aren't. Hearing that they are getting banned for minor issues while the trolls are free to post is very disheartening. Some of the old knock-down-drag-out arguments were the absolute best parts of the old forum. I don't know much about all of the mods, but Kingkat and hurl are pretty even keeled guys, so I hope they can fix this. Cheers.

Yep this is correct. The obvious accounts who comment daily with the sole purpose of garnering as much negative reaction from others around here should be removed. I'm not talking occasional because we can all be negative at times. I'm referring to the obvious trolls who keep making accounts with the same agenda.

 

And o2 needs to be removed he has too many power trips and grudges to mod.

I'd like to suggest that no one's account should EVER be deleted, unless they only sign up as a spammer (links to their blogs, pharmacies etc), newly created duplicate account, or specifically ask for it to be. When that happens, we lose posts that may contain useful information (or lose entire active threads, as we've seen happen).

Just like to mention that there has been a noticeable improvement in today's GDT as a result of 2 key bannings. That is all the good posters who were also banned were asking for. Recognize people doing bad schtick a little bit sooner next time mods and don't ban those calling for it.

Because it was hilarious how booty blasted people got over the most senseless s***.

Joking around with people who took me and others way too seriously. It was just loony fun with me, zee, free pizza, dogg, etc... many other aliases. Its a f***ing message board and its sometimes fun to f*** around with people who take themselves and the board too seriously.

Also about 50% of the things i said i believed, i still dont know anything about sabremetrics so many people find that troll worthy immediately.

 

I dont do it anymore as this place is regulated heavily and I respect that.
