Honestly, not that concerned about forfeiting these past two games.

 

Even if KC wins tonight, the Blue Jays still hold the AL lead, with only 3 games to go.

 

That's clearly the calculation Jays mgm made in 2 games off. I find the no more Price more puzzling. His last start wasn't great...he is in the CY race and 1st place in AL is up for grabs. They will never say if his arm isn't feeling right.

Do you guys think that Hutch will have to compete for the 5th spot next year, regardless of who we bring in, in the off-season? I'm starting to think he won't be gifted anything next year. I mean even his FIP, xFIP, etc are all pretty bad this year, and those don't even account for him throwing meatballs straight down the middle all the time when he's getting rocked.

He will not be gifted anything

 

Only Stroman and Dickey will have guaranteed spots (Price too obv if kept)

 

Everyone else including Hutch, Osuna and Sanchez will have to compete for a spot, with no promises made to any of them

Young vs. Ervin Santana

Ventura vs. Milone

Cueto vs. TBA

 

All we need to do is have KC lose tonight vs. the White Sox and have them lose at least one in Minnesota (or the Jays taking 2/3 from Tampa), and we'll have home field through to the World Series.

All I want is to face the Rangers. How does that make me annyoing? I'd be alright with facing the Astros but not sure if they'll beat the Yanks.
