The raiders are way more historic, how long you been around has nothing to do with how historic a franchise is.

 

Well that the hell does "historic" even mean? I think you mean "storied" and even that's debattable. The Raiders are a stronger brand at the moment. Of that, there is no doubt.

The A's didnt have Al Davis, love him or hate him he was a pioneer and great sports personality. Moving the franchise is part of what makes the Raiders history so rich in its own unique fashion.

 

He was, a genius the first 3 decades, lost it near the end sad.

The A's are not near iconic as the Raiders, it's not even close, the raiders even after 10 years of suck are consistently in the top 3 of selling merchandise, and are still one of the winningest franchises in sports history, and that's amazing when you think of how bad they have been the last decade. It's not just winning, the Raiders were a far more popular brand then the A's in the sports landscape.

 

They need a new stadium badly though prob move back to LA again lol.

 

That's because they're a fashion statement. They are one of the least valuable NFL franchises according to forbes.

Clueless, just clueless..they are the least valuable because of where they play and their stadium, small market..that's it. The Raiders have always been on of the most popular teams with a massive worldwide fanbase. They need a new stadium. Move them to LA they would immediately be up their with the Cowboys. The last 10 -12 years has hurt some, but 1-2 winning seasons would change that again drastically. There is nothing fashion statement about it lol. They should have never moved back to Oakland, but Davis is Davis.

You don't have a clue, The Raiders are the most popular team in Spanish speaking countries, their games are broadcast there live.... There is a reason people say the NFL is better when the Raiders are winning. They are one of the most prestigious franchises, even with the last 10 years of struggles.

Now we're into Game 6 of the 1992 ALCS as we continue to wait out the rain. Skydome/Rogers Centre hasn't changed much since 1992.. except the turf is much better than it was back then.

Its true; I've been going every year since it was opened and aside from the concessions, not a lot has changed in the appearance. I like Rogers Centre

despite the fact that a lot of people don't.

Well, they put new video boards in foul territory this season, new concessions, automatic bathroom fixtures in the 100 level. I've been going there since 2006.. and outside of the studio, washrooms and Jays Shop, it hasn't changed much to me either.

Did anyone notice that Pat Borders isn't exactly a great defensive catcher? Just a feeling. He also played into 2005.. mostly because in that season, the Mariners burned through multiple catchers due to injury.

Cant claim to be the most educated fan now and was less so in 85-93 when wildly cheering on the Jays applauding less informed stats.

 

But if you look at Border stats everyone ran wild on us in the playoffs. Im not sure if that was just on the pitchers or a combo. He hit like crazy in winning WS MVP. so often the case when you see aging Renteria and Scutaro winning MVP awards.

Saw they do that in when I was in Anaheim and in Minute Maid when their team does something..it actually is kind of cool. Fires things up.

 

Minute Maid there is an explosion...they crank "you dropped a bomb on me....baby" and the orange train fires up lol. We lost all 4 games that series so I was getting f-ing sick of it by the end.
