2lowitzki Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Mike Wright is starting on Saturday instead of Miguel Gonzalez.. Chris Tillman is starting on Sunday instead of Wei-Yin Chen.. Mike Wright is a guy who plunked Bautista on June 19th at the Rogers Centre.. and he allowed 4 runs in 1.1 innings (27.00 ERA) Tillman's record against the Jays this year 0-3 15.00 ERA in 4 games
Trouba95 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Must win. And please Archer, toss a gem on Sunday. Slow down those Yanks.

BTS Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 They all suck. who cares Wei Yin Chen does not suck. He's also probably best off not pitching against a team that mashes lefties.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Wei Yin Chen does not suck. He's also probably best off not pitching against a team that mashes lefties. No, BTS, Wei Yin Chen's sucks even though you traded Choo for him. You're just dumn.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 MB was pushed back to Monday to give his arm more rest. Estrada's pitching tomorrow.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 No, BTS, Wei Yin Chen's sucks even though you traded Choo for him. You're just dumn. Why do you think he sucks?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Why do you think he sucks? He pitches for Baltimore AND on your DDL team. He actually has to. There's also the 4.21 projected FIP.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 He pitches for Baltimore AND on your DDL team. He actually has to. There's also the 4.21 projected FIP. That still makes him like a slightly above average starter in Baltimore and he seems to play good defense. Valid 3rd starter on a good team.

Nafro Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I'm pretty sure by FIP- it still makes him a slightly below average starter, actually. Can I ask what is the average FIP?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Can I ask what is the average FIP? You can just go to Fangraphs -> Leaders -> League Stats. Here's the link. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2015&month=0&season1=2015&ind=0&team=0,ss&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0 3.95 this year, and then you have to factor in whatever park adjustment is necessary.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Awesome. Miguel Gonzalez is another guy the Jays inexplicably can never hit.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 I'm pretty sure by FIP- it still makes him a slightly below average starter, actually. Don't be a pedant. He's pretty much your prototypical 2-2.5 win league average SP3.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Don't be a pedant. He's pretty much your prototypical 2-2.5 win league average SP3. I learned from the best. I'm just saying you might be overestimating him by like 5% or something, which isn't nothing. Like, he doesn't actually suck, but he isn't especially good.

Career ERA a third of a run less than his xFIP is probably partially a result of this (as well as defense that DRS thinks is plus).
