vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 If these tickets were available last week, I'd be in Toronto right now. Unfortunately last week most wanted to make a killing on their tickets. Ugh, that sucks. If only I'd known that I would still feel like s*** this week I could have sold you mine. Of course saying this now is not remotely helpful...
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Wasn't trying to guilt trip you. Was trying to lift your spirits. Haha, oh. I take everything the wrong way.
CBlake Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Some tickets for today less than $70 right now on stubhub - much cheaper than last week for higher face value tickets Really surprised with how low it is getting , especially after the win last night. Guess the sheer amount of tickets bought with the resell market in mind was much higher than the market would bear. As far as I am conconcerend if you at leadt get your money back, ala face you are doing ok.
clambake Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I sold tomorrow's at face value and bought today's for $58. But with all the fees and conversion, it only ended up about $10 less than face. I also probably lost about $300 on a few singles this week. But if they make the World Series, I have at least $2100 waiting for 1 pair!

pickoff22 Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 The way tickets were sold as strips I suppose it makes some sense. Most people never intended to go to every single game, yet everyone owns all the games. They aren't able to go to each one, whether because of time or finances, so the secondary market is flooded. Also didn't help that 98% of fans assumed they were done when they were down 2-0 to Texas, so no one was eyeing ALCS tickets. Combine afternoon times and it's the perfect storm.
S33n Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Just one pair of 500's for tomorrows game left. PM if interested.
Jonzo Verified Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Got a pair in section 104 row 7 for game 5. Pm if interested.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Still at the dome right now... No interest in going to the game tomorrow. 2 tix section 141R row 6. $150 each. Message me if you're interested.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Tickets 10 mins before the game dropped to as low as $40 on Stubhub. Even 200 level seats at third base were around $60-70 when face value they're $225 CAD. It's astonishing how ticket prices dropped so low for an ALCS especially after winning last night.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Tickets for tomorrow's game at like 40 bucks. Toronto sports fans are such bandwagoners. People would die for ALCS tickets in real sport markets.

AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I'm going tomorrow but there isn't a remotely decent place to stay in the city for under $400 a night and even those there's only a few.

You can come stay in my basement. It's unfinished, but I can throw a matress on the floor.

The Don valley hotel usually is a pretty good place. Can usually find rooms for under $200 and its only a $20 uber cab to downtown.

Would prefer something downtown or on a subway line but beggars can't be choosers at this point.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Have a pair in 119 row 26 for $175 each. Seats are right behind the plate/KC dugout.
AdamLindsMom Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 You guys ever use airbnb? Seems to be quite a few one bedroom condos right on the doorstep for around 200 a night. One of us would be sleeping on the couch though.

Tickets for the ALCS are going for less than what they were going for the Yankees series at the end of the year. INSANE. Everyone has abandoned ship.

Wow seriously? When did Toronto all of a sudden become Manhattan? You should be able to find something decent downtown between $150-$200. Check Hotels.com or Expedia.

Just make sure you book with someone who has great reviews and has a superhost badge.

I've gone to home openers and stayed at the harbour castle for $120 a night.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 check that I'll go below face on my 500 level seats: $180 for the pair. Any takers? PM me and I'll get the message in the morning...I'm hitting the sack

THE JAYS ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!! And nobody seems to care anymore. I just can't fathom how people were shelling out triple face value for regular season tickets, yet people don't want to pay face value for the ALCS. Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere that actually cares about baseball.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
