HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Oh yeah sorry missed that its game 2
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Oh yeah sorry missed that its game 2 2 tickets for game 2, section 238, (LF foul pole) $300 each. I currently have them listed for more on stubhub.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Compared to yours maybe, but not fair market value. Sold game 1 for $407 CAD/seat. Prices seem a bit lower for game 2 I just paid $425 Cdn for 2 to both games 1 and 2. From a "friend" at Rogers. 128R row 19. Did I get ripped off?
Stive Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Just for people curious. I listed mine today on stubhub in 523r row 15 for 165 a ticket for game 1 and sold within the hour. just went five bucks under the lowest priced in the section. Prices have came down marginally and I think we could see another dip if the game time is early. Hopefully we win the division and get the yankees or the angels. Hopefully that'd bump us into primetime.
Stive Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Also, quick question.... When you get a check sent by stubhub is it in US or Canadian $? I know prices listed are USD but wondering what the check is in?
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I managed to score a couple regular price OF tickets for Friday's game! Question: do you guys anticipate it being a night game?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I managed to score a couple regular price OF tickets for Friday's game! Question: do you guys anticipate it being a night game? No I think it will be the afternoon start. Can't imagine them putting us on primetime
Travis_Snider Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Trying to buy some tickets for game 1 not sure if i should get the 100 level outfeild or some 500 level
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Those seats were listed after I posted. And if I were a buyer I'd buy those, cause those prices are an outlier (undercut by a good $60)
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 No I think it will be the afternoon start. Can't imagine them putting us on primetime I guess it sort of depends who they play. You'd imagine they'd give NY the night game.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 They aren't an outlier, though. There are similar prices around the 100 level infield. The seats people are listing for $300+ in your section are not realistic and will not be purchased as that price. Anyone can list anything at any price. The market price is the lowest prices or below. Of course - prices will change as we get closer to the date and I will adjust

geer36 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I don't suppose anyone has a pair of tickets in or near Sec 232 for sale for game 1? I've got 2 pairs, one in 232 and one in 519 and 4 of us are flying in for the game. I would trade my pair in 519 plus some cash to get into 232 with the rest of my group.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Just a FYI for some people who are thinking of buying off stubhub.. If you are paying with a Canadian credit card the exchange rate isn't as simple as just putting the USD to CAD. So right now 1 USD=1.32 CAD. Your bank will charge you 3% usually so you are paying 1.35 CAD and then VISA takes an additional 1.5%. So now you are paying like 1.36 CAD for every USD which is quite a bit more than you originally thought.
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 I bought the cheapest Game 2 ticket there was, 510 row 4, $125usd + give or take $1000 in fees.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Why do last minute buyers do this? Edit: Wait for the last day, You'll get Infininite, perfect deals, or get em from folk that held out. Or go to will call and pick up cost.

I can live with it.
Stive Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Can anyone answer me whether stubhub sends a check in USD or convert it to CAD? How does that work?
Trannerd Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Can anyone answer me whether stubhub sends a check in USD or convert it to CAD? How does that work? $USD, typically takes 1-2 weeks to process on Stubhub's end and then another 2 weeks to reach you physically.
TilsonBritoFan Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 RIGHT NOW is the cheapest it is going to be unless you want to wait until a couple hours before game day. There are some very good prices right now, so if you are on the fence go for it now. Prices will go up as soon as opponent/times are announced.

Edit: Wait for the last day, You'll get Infininite, perfect deals, or get em from folk that held out. Or go to will call and pick up cost. Will call and picking up cost is extremely risky. You might score tickets at face but you also likely will be left holding your nutsack. If you don't really care either way if you go or not and are willing to head to a bar if you get shut out, then that's the way to go, but most of us are travelling to the game and want a guarantee of tix. Also waiting last minute is not convenient at all for planning purposes. Prices are pretty reasonable in the upper deck and field level OF right now on stubhub.

Waiting doesn't work for out of town fans. Had little choice but to get raped. Checked out stubhub and fanexchange. Paid more than I should have but F it. Going to games 1 and 2! Only live once. Go Jays!

First decent tickets for game 2 are section 537, row 5, 240 each Canadian. The absolute cheapest on that day isnt much lower than that. How much were the face value of these, 100?

If its announced they play the rangers (likeliest option) in an afternoon game, prices probably cut in half.

DickeyJohnsonWang Verified Member Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 sorry if already asked/answered: Will the jays get the 3pm or 8pm game? Does it depend on if it'd be jays vs. WC / javs vs. AL West winner?
