burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Imagine Lebron never came to Cleveland? They would have zero hope for their sports teams. Indians seem like they'll never have a payroll to compete and the Browns are one of the worst franchises in sports.

Hell, even if you extend to Southern Ohio, the Jackets are poorly run (although they've turned things around lately), the Bengals suck balls and the Reds haven't done anything for over 3 decades.

Ambassador Ch0n Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I wonder if the Jays go back to losing if Mark Shapiro will tell the fans to stay away like he did in Cleveland after many fans started voicing their displeasure? You're trying too hard bro, gotta build up that post count before you go full troll Wilnercibia.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I love this hire so much. I hope Shapiro can kind of turn AA more towards analytics because I think there might be a very good GM there. Overhaul all the waste in the FO, then AA's negotiating skills plus an analytic approach would lead to quite the run for the Jays IMO.

AA has a reputation for being a bit of a sponge when it comes to gleaning knowledge for other people. Spending more time with Shapiro and less time with the likes of Beeston and Chuck Lamar can only be a good thing.

I believe AA is an analytics guy but he's been forced to placate Beeston. I mean, he's not allowed to call the guy after 10pm because it's his nighty night time. I like this move.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Ugh After the empire AA build
polar bear Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Come on.... I'd say he's got to win it all to compensate for the moves he has made.

Maybe I cant really see the success because Im a fan of a more successful rival
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Is he bringing Carrasco with him?

I am confident that this is not true, but he's young and malleable enough to start leaning that way once Shapiro is in his ear.

I mean he would have to be to some extent, hard to believe he could assemble this team by accident.

Upgrading the quarterback position is about the hardest thing to do in sports
puphood Verified Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I have no real opinion on Shapioro as a CEO other than the moves timing is rude to Beeston as they finally put together a team that has great potential in Sept. and they announce this.........

He's not taking over until after the world series. I'm pretty sure Beeston lead this

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 From Ken Rosenthal Even if there are more limitations on his power, AA would have to crazy to leave Toronto for Seattle.
