Governator Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I'm waiting for an update that Saunders submits retirement papers.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 That 3.34 K/9 in AAA sure leaves you limp...
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Not John Holmes calibre depth but w/e.
Grant Friesen Verified Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Donn who!? ... 60 days for Saunders ... just in time for the ALCS! huh, huh?

rydermike Verified Member Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Don't know why Saunders wasn't already on the 60-Day. He hasn't played since May 9th. Wasn't he just taking up a 40-man spot by being on the 15 Day.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Yea, but unless you have someone else to put on the 40, does it really matter? Teams always do this. Maybe you lose the opportunity to fill the spot if you don't act on it right after putting the player on the 60 day? Kind of seems that way from the way team's manage their roster.
rydermike Verified Member Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Yea, but unless you have someone else to put on the 40, does it really matter? In the end I guess not, but then again I am the type of person who does things earlier so I won't forget to do them later when it actually needs to be done. Guess this just fits into my why wasn't it already done train of thought. But like you said, doesn't really matter now. Maybe it was AA's excuse to get rid of Valencia, by having Saunders take up a 40 spot.

Looked into the DL on wiki, you can only go retroactive to 10 days, I thought it was the full 60. So when you put them on you have to know they're gone for at least the next 50 days. Guess it makes sense to not put them if you think he may come back before 50 days
