Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Norris is a pile of s*** that is the minor league equivalent to Romero. Can't even get AAA hitters out now while giving up a s*** ton of walks going to need to change his mechanics for a second time and might have a chance to succeed but not for a few years. Pompey will have to be traded for pitching...so.... Lmao, Norris is a pile of s*** (he's younger than f***ing Hoffman) but Jeff Hoffman is practically Giolito. GTFO Also, suddenly it's bad for Norris to not get AAA hitters out but Hoffman gets a pass for not doing the same thing because reasons??
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Stroman+ for Carrasco. Do it AA. Can't stop now. Ouch. I'd rather give Norris + Pompey + Sanchez than Stroman. Still plenty of chips to cash in without moving Stro.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Shi Davidi @ShiDavidi 16s17 seconds ago Troy Tulowitzki isn't expected to make it to Toronto in time for opener vs #Phillies, but could arrive at some point Tuesday night. buying wed game ticks lost in all of this.. gruber gets to watch another full game of goins playing SS
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 We don't have a Syndergaard, though. Pompey and Alford would be on par with where he was.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Listen brother don't break down here, you can watch Hoffman continue to put up underwhelming stats in the Rockies system, just please stay calm. Trading Hoffman was fine...but for a pitcher, not a SS
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 thank god.... would be horrible to have to trade him away again You sure are quite a dumbass.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 This basically confirms what I have felt for the past couple of years. The Blue Jays management is completely focused on offense, although it appears that Troy Tulowitzki is good defensively also. Is it possible that Jose Reyes was so difficult to deal with that they just wanted to get him off the team at any cost? Troy Tulowitzki has seen a lot of injury time, so are people prepared to see Goins playing a lot of games at SS? Maybe Troy Tulowitzki is willing to rest a couple of games a week to extend his career unlike Reyes? If he isn't overplayed then maybe he can be productive for another 4 - 5 years? is there anything at all in Reyes personality which would point towards him being difficult? Tulo is a guy that asked for a trade. Fought until a teammate was run out of town (Ubaldo), Nothing about him screams team player.

5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Thats why I said we are the new Yankees. They use to it all the time. Thats us only were going to finish third place in the division again. Atleast we got Tulo though! Have faith brother

Norris has a track record of dominating the minor leagues, Hoffman has been nothing but mediocre at an older age, i literally can't see how you think Norris is a pile of s*** and Hoffman is a stud in the making.

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 LTBF is such a ridiculous homer. I can't wait for him to start s***ing on Hoffman.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 AA has to get a pitcher now, Its stupid not to. He is all in anyways, yes one thats under control. f***ing Hamels, approve the trade bud. You could have a 25 win season.
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Have faith brother Let him try his reverse jinx magic out lol. It's worked before.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Pompey and Alford would be on par with where he was. Doubt that. Syndergaard was at least top 50 at the time and maybe should've been higher. Pompey doesn't have the ceiling and Alford doesn't have the track record.
Morrissey Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 AA has to make a move for a starter, doesn't make sense not too. Jays can't slug their way out of .500 record. They already lead baseball in runs scored. He's probably desperate, I'd be worried about him getting bent over a barrel for a starter.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Trading Hoffman was fine...but for a pitcher, not a SS We just got Tulowitzki, who cares?

Tulo is a guy that asked for a trade. Fought until a teammate was run out of town (Ubaldo), Nothing about him screams team player. Yes. Yesterday, he fought with Donaldson over a grounder that was clearly the 3rd Baseman's who has momentum going towards first, Reyes wanted to backhand it, and make a fancy throw into the stands. This happened. The two were yelling, and not for the first time this season.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 We just got Tulowitzki, who cares? Who cares that we lose 15 to 14 now instead of 10-6 right lol

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Is Pompey any less valuable than Syndergaard was at the time. I don't like Castro and Hoffman so i have no complaints but Pompey is another story. I would say Synd was pretty equal to Hoffman at the time
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Reyes seems like a genuinely awesome guy, and Donaldson is a giant douchebag. Reyes is a headcase and team cancer that had to be removed.
5minutesforframing Verified Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I would say Synd was pretty equal to Hoffman at the time Hoffman has done absolutely nothing to justify the hype. Synd was better.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Who here wants to make a bet that the Blue Jays won't make the playoffs in the next 5 years? 100 bucks on no playoffs here

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 That's absurd, Pompey alone is worth more than a top 50 guy. I don't understand the implications of this sentence.
