fireballW Verified Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 So did Chisox broadcasters... Errors happen but Reyes was awful on everything hit to him tonight. i can live with his s*** range, but he just isn't contributing enough on O to blow routine plays. His stance is ridiculous. He's basically doing the splits when he goes to swing the bat, which people watching on TV can't see. Was shocked when I watched them live. Even my wife laughed at it and knew it was ridiculous.
North of 60 Verified Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 At the end of the season when the Jays don't make the playoffs, they can look back at games like this. This is not the 1st one of the season, nor the last.
Governator Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 How do you think the Marlins feel about Reyes. LMAO, except Jays took $120 million of pure mistakes, I wonder if maybe AA got a personal bonus from the Marlins for making that happen. I'll take a 3 war switch hitting, starting player over whatever Vernon Wells became. The year he was traded, he sat on the bench getting paid $27MM.
fireballW Verified Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Funny thing is that the reyes relay throw was just as bad as the ball that went five-hole. f***in threw the ball straight into the ground when it was an easy out at home. Let's stick with the real mistakes, he made enough of them. It was raining pretty good, would have been pretty tough to get a good grip that quickly and make a sweet throw. Would agree if it wasn't raining.
fireballW Verified Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Holy s*** picture me shocked. Wilner insisting Reyes needs to be replaced late in games for defense Bet Gibbons realizes this mistake and won't let this happen again in a close game.

Does the fact that the Angels made a similar mistake help AA's cause. Its been six f***ing years and this is the team he has built. I dont know how or why would anyone bother to defend the guy. Its time to start over.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 This loss is actually a blessing in disguise. Gibby and AA won't be able to fight back the heat incoming and will most likely use Goins in late leads.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Bet Gibbons realizes this mistake and won't let this happen again in a close game. Gibbons doesn't have the nerve to take Reyes off the field.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Buerhle going for X-rays. Should not have pitched the 8th than....terrible managing
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I hope Buerleh doesn't get injured. I would hate to give this administration an excuse

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Listening to Wilner is infuriating me even more than I already am What's he saying?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Bet Gibbons realizes this mistake and won't let this happen again in a close game. He will let it happen again all season. The inmates run the asylum in Toronto, especially with Gibbons managing.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 The 2012 off season will cost this franchise a decade. If we didn't do anything that offseason, we wouldn't have won in a decade.. the franchise was a mess after the 2012 season, and was headed for a 100-loss 2013 season without any moves. What happened in 2013 was caused by injuries.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 1/21/11 Blue Jays Trade Vernon Wells and his $86MM contract to warm up Angels bench. That was a good deal.. Vernon Wells was an absolute albatross for the Jays. Not sure whether we should've kept Napoli or not though.. maybe if they had moved him to 1B sooner, it might have worked. But at that point, he was still a C, and we needed a closer, which ended up being a bad deal in Frank Francisco... Napoli had a good year in 2011 with the Rangers, then regressed badly (with a slight rebound in 2013). But right now, Napoli is basically as worthless as Vernon Wells was at that point in his career..

What happened in 2013 was caused by injuries. With all due respect you are wrong. If the Jays were headed to 100 losses in 2013, then making a trade to become a .500 team is ridiculous. I rather lose a 100 games, then go 81-81, at least there is a better draft pick. you want to talk track record, every other AL East team has gone to the playoffs multiple times, since AA started his rebuild. So what the f*** was his strategy anyways, because it sure hasn't worked out.
candymartinez Verified Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 What's he saying? Reyes is a elite player came outta his mouth. Dickey hasn't been bad and proceeded cherry pick some stats over a specific small time period. And more nonsense.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 That was a good deal.. Yeah, that was his point.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Fire AA. Seriously. He had a SS signed for $5m a season and he ends up trading for this douchebag with a billion dollars and an eternity left on his deal. f*** you, Reyes. He got Escobar, didn't he? You think he didn't know he was a good player? AA was told to get rid of Escobar because of PR reasons (hint: the homophobic slur). This is not to say that I was for the Marlins trade, but why would the Marlins want Escobar when they were getting Hech? Answer: They didn't and quickly sent him to the Rays. Anyway...
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I have hated Reyes from day one. congrats. I don't hate Reyes. He is a player we need to do what he can for us in the 2nd half. At least Reyes owned it and took the E on this chin in post game comment. The one thing we need to do is replace him defensively late when holding tight lead.
