Gose is fast so most probably he would have been safe however all our LFers so far do nougat the ball back to the infield as soon s they get it even though it is obvious, at least to me, that managers are getting their hitters to run on balls to LF. Pillar does a good job of getting it back in as quickly as possible. It's almost as if they do not assume a hitter will run so they get to the ball, look to see what's happening on the base pads and then throw it in late.

I didn't say he's a bad hitter, although his power numbers are still there, he's dropped of in getting on. It's not that often that a runner on second with no out presents itself, so attempting to go the other way won't interfere with the overall approach. Baseball is a game of adjustments, not blind robotic actions.

 

To how you're pitched, he roped that ball.

Price has to be knocked out of the game thto inning, hopefully with some runners on.

 

Shame. Price hasn't needed to be at his best to get the job done to today. Donaldson owes an at bat next inning.
