this would be great. i wouldn't have to watch the game anymore, just check out the boxscore and i'm all set

It's funny you say that. I'd wager that people who get accused of not watching the games and focusing on stats instead (North, JFaS, GD, King, myself etc...) watch more baseball than 95% of the forum.

Loving the game kind of drives the desire to learn all you can about it.

Don't talk to him that way. He's an ENGINEER.

Really great course, very well explained, you go at your own pace, and lots of useful info in there.

How long does this course go? I know online courses you get to set your own schedule which is good, though its not too demanding of a work load? Like with work, travelling and stuff?

I audited it and it's really easy to work around. 10 minutes of a video then you answer some questions.

Awesome. Can you always choose to get the certificate near the end? Or do you have to do it all upfront?

Idk, I audited it.

Compare to North saying that watching games skews your view of baseball, and NJH announcing outright that he doesn't watch the games.

It pollutes objectivity because your fan instincts take over and make you see stuff that isn't there. Watching the game from a fan perspective is how you get opinions like how Jose Reyes isn't a winner or a pitcher gives up hard contact. That's not to say it's bad to watch though, and I do. I especially like non-Jays games because I can observe the mechanics and aesthetics of the sport with a more neutral view.

BTS is right. The "advanced stats" crew on here watches an utter ton of games.

Pouring over a boxscore in the morning after a Jays win the night before is one of the fave things to do in the world.

No one take this. I don't want you schmucks affiliated with one of my alma maters in any way, shape or form. We need to maintain our standards.

BU? That explains so f***ing much!

NJH was joking, North is partially right. See: Gruber thinking Ryan Goins is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I see more than 200 regular season games every year. I was really banged up one summer and got to almost 300 games that year. Love watching games, but they have to be live... which means a lot of all nighters. lol

It totally does! Because everyone that goes to a certain school is exactly the same! #Hurllogic.

Yes, one of my alma maters is BU, but, no, I wasn't a "stereotypical" BU'er. I went for grad school. Completely different dynamic. The rich, uppity, spoiled city kids that populate much of the undergrad population and we folks in the law school and grad school of bidness ... well, we didn't intermingle much [bC coeds were far more fun, regardless (Catholic girls always are) ... even the Harvard kids could throw down with some good fun, on occasion]. I went there simply because they paid my way. I could have attended Penn for law school, and Harvard for b-school, but I made the fiscally sound choice, instead.

I prefer to paint all my stereotypes with one brush. My stereotypical BU kid is a rich kid that couldn't get into Harvard or MIT, and won't lower themselves to admit that Carroll is better than Questrom...so they take it out on Female undergrads and make jokes about rape culture in the School paper.

For someone who thinks he is so smart, you sure do like giving away a lot of personal information online to people you irk! I wonder how many COOs of investment firms that went to BU are listed on LinkedIn? Can't be too many, because...you know...it's BU.

Even easier when I still have access to NRD (National Registration Database). But the following Toronto Executives went to BU (none are our Moogy):

Eric Berke TorQuest

Kai Satorp (Manulife)

Matthew A Weatherbie (Weatherbie Captial)

it's entirely possible that he's unregistered though, or I have to change my search function. I wonder when they realize that they never cut off my access when I left in 2006

Stupid people will be stupid, whether they're relying on an "eye test" ... or statistical analysis. That's not an argument for or against "fan perspective."

It's a bit hard to tell the difference on an internet message board though.

He works in the U.S. But that wouldn't be a problem because every investment firm has to register with the SEC and those documents are publicly available. Then it's just a matter of getting a hold of that list and paring it down. Between databases and company websites I'm sure someone could eliminate COOs who have BU Law School listed on their CV to just a small handful of people.

I'm not saying I would ever waste my time doing that...but don't mind filling other people's heads with some good ideas.

I think Moogy lives and works in the states.

you are correct. See how much I pay attention. I thought he was the original "lets meet at Yonge and Bloor" guy

It was Howard Roark/Smedley Butler. Spanky (Executive member of the BJMB Detective Service) has reason to believe that Howard Roark is Ambassador Ch0n. I personally do not see the connection, but Spanky has a dog sniffing nose for these kind of things.

Wilnercibia is the guy who signs up every few weeks as "Wilnercibia 2" or "Ghost of Wilnercibia" and spams gay porn shopped of JPA/AA/Dickey with a Rogers logo plastered on it.

I don't do shops of JPA/AA/Dickey. I prefer all natural.
