ScientificReason Verified Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I dont think As are out of it yet They have Brett Lawrie in the dressing room, they are done. The cancer has spread. I bet he has everyone hooked on redbull now, they are hyped up all day playing ping pong and cross dressing, by the time the game starts they are all coming down and they cannot concentrate.................

LTR Verified Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I'm just looking at his defensive value Ah well defensive stats apparently aren't reliable in such sample sizes. But I'm suprised it's not much better anyway playing at Coliseum (huge foul territory).

Ya, that's our biggest need. Considering we never have games that need closing.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 this idiot: "I didn't think about Stroman because he's on the DL but if they wanted Norris + Bautista + Reyes + Sanchez and another prospect (Pentecost/Alford) and it's the offseason I'd pull the trigger. I was more thinking something like Hutch + Edwin + Castro/Norris + Alford"
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 We need a Closer to save one game by month
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I want Bautista to retire as a bluejay hopefully after a championship
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 heres the espn insider article on suggested JAys trades: "Proposed trade: LHP Daniel Norris, RHP Liam Hendriks, LHP Jairo Labourt and SS Richard Urena for Cueto and Chapman." ya OK...thats not even worth Cueto.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 getting a closer not only helps us improve in the closing role but allows us to use Cecil. A closer is f***ing dumb anyway. Use Cecil when he is best utilized during the game. What's the point in wasting your best reliever because he of savez?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I would do that in a hearbeat btw I meant the Reds would not even do that trade for Cueto..yeah I'd do it in a heartbeat too. 1 top prospect + mlb reliever + scrubs?

I wish we could have Osuna and Cecil share the closers role..just don't have them pitch on the same day if there is no save situation. But with Delabar shaping up nicely, we could have 3 rotated

Half a season of Cueto when you're not going to make the playoffs (and likely can't resign him) would be a pretty good trade for the Reds to get Norris+. Obviously they could probably get a better package if there including Chapman)

But with Delabar shaping up nicely, we could have 3 rotated Actually other than the blown save the other day our Bullpen has looked pretty sweet as of late. Power from the right side in Delabar, Osuna and Hendricks, Cecil, Loup (looking better), and Cocaine from the left. This could be an above average bullpen if they don't go with 1 closer and play the best guy in the spot they need him.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Hendriks is shaping up a lot more nicely than Delabar. Why doesn't he get any hype? Unfortunately he has extreme splits.

I don't think the three other parts of the pieces are worth another 'Norris' '
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Why do people place such an immense value on half a year of Cueto?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Why do people place such an immense value on half a year of Cueto? It's a seller's market.

Helps that they are rested a bit now compared to April. And Tepera! Hes not throwing as hard as last week (98, now 94 again) but he has been a surprise. And Bo Schultz looks like he can survive with the 97 mph fastball /88 slider
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Why do people place such an immense value on half a year of Cueto? I'd never splurge on half a year of control but there are so many teams that are willing to. Doesn't help with the 2nd wildcard.
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Hendriks is shaping up a lot more nicely than Delabar. Why doesn't he get any hype? He's hit 96 mph once or twice. Can anyone explain his increased velo?
BlueJaysGirl Verified Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Why do people place such an immense value on half a year of Cueto? Because a premium starter helps you get to the playoffs. We've had quite a drought.
