How about the big red flags lately, like Donaldson (probably tired), Osuna (probably tired but could probably stop using his fastball so much and rely on off speed) and Sanchez?

1. All teams/players are tired. Guys have slumps in May and now....doesn't matter. That's why guys like Bird or Pompey can be used to provide some jump or replace for injury

2. Imagine how Betances feels if you are worried about over use of Osuna. He does have to hit his spots and change speeds more.

3. Sanchez is what he always was/is. He just needs to be used in the properly.

It seems that as Josh Donaldson goes, so does the Blue Jays... this is probably the most average JD has looked since May. Bautista and EE are trying their best to pick up the slack but we'll def need JD to find that extra gas in the tank. It's a bit worrying due to how he fizzled out at the end of last year, but hopefully this one won't be as bad. I wish he can be given a day off or two to regain some energy but unfortunately we don't have that luxury to ATM.

Osuna is still fine velocity wise, it's just that he's been really missing his spots uncharacteristically lately. His general control is not as great as it was a month ago. Incorporating his off speed pitches more would definitely be a good idea.

I hope Gibby sees now that Cecil/Lowe are better high leverage guys, especially with runners on base.

Going to the game this Wednesday with 3 other guys....the restaurant at windows is booked up and we're looking for a good place to eat before the game. Any suggestions? We're looking for quality food and a couple of brews. I prefer to avoid chain restaurants if possible. We'll be taking the subway in, so walking distance from the dome is required.

Thanks guys.

It looks like it's heading that way, but I'd like to see Buehrle get one last shot in the playoffs. Estrada can be the long man in the pen.

No way. Imagine Buehrle vs the Yankees or the Rangers? or even the Astros? he would get killed.

Bar Hop on King st (King & Spadina) is a good choice - tons of beers and good food. Not a far walk from the Dome but far away enough that it shouldn't be too rammed.

Depends what you define as walking distance but I used to live at Richmond/Sherbourne and the Richmond Rogue there has amazing ribs on Wednesday nights only. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the Dome.

My playoffs 4 man rotation.

1. Price

2. Stroman

3. Estrada

4. Dickey

I like using the knuckler as a 2 or 3 guy to mess with batters timing...but those are my 4.

And Trouba for the love of god, stay away from twitter and Yankee message boards if we lose tonight. Just some friendly advice.

I don't know who is pitching for the Yankees but I suppose we need Smoak in the line-up for defense.

But going forward Colabello needs to get at bats against lefties/righties as much as possible.

Over the past month or so both have been hitting really well. Both have 150+ wRC+ IIRC.

I think I will. Can't take Yanks fans mentally abusing me.

I hope he can get it but I also hope the division is clinched first.

Yeah if the division is clinched then start him the last game or piggyback him with the scheduled starter. He deserves to have this landmark in his career.

baring injury I really don't see any way that this can't be our rotation come playoff time, Estrada has just been to good not to have him in there
