Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 No sense wasting service time on Pompey when we are rolling right now and don't really need him. Except we do
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Except we do 11 wins in a row and first place says we don't.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 11 wins in a row and first place says we don't. So don't improve on a great product because?
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 So don't improve on a great product because? Because we are fine as we are and there's zero sense in bringing him up to sit on the bench and waste service time that will bite us down the line. And there's no guarantee he will be an improvement.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I hope everyone here understands that Stroman added to the playoff roster equals no Hutch in playoffs
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 So Hutch gets sent down? Not Schultz? Who do you want as a reliever in the playoffs, Bo Schultz who has been an amazing reliever all season long or Hutch who has had 0 relief apperance and wont start in the playoffs Which one do you want on the playoff roster.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Without any 20 random wins of the Yankees this year they are essentially the red Sox as well..
LTR Verified Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Ben revere is a f***ing idiot, he makes Rajai Davis look like a brain surgeon
TRM Verified Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I knew we were due for some subtle racism sooner or later.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Not sure how you belive being bad at baseball and someone's intelligence are correlated
GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Not sure how you belive being bad at baseball and someone's intelligence are correlated if so then LTR and lots of us are very stupid
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Mike Wilner is a moron, and Keith Law schools this stubborn oaf.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Wilner just has no idea when to stop. f*** is he dumb.
LTR Verified Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 The fanbase has gone full retard... assuming we're going to win the division, or make the play-offs, because of a thrilling and lucky win-streak. Nope, the Blue Jays are not better than the Yankees... the projections say it's basically a toss-up and the Yankees have the edge. You should be excited at the prospect of your team being in legitimate contention down the stretch for the first time in 20 years and leave it at that. Don't assume they're going to make the play-offs or the wild card or anything, or you could be in for a world of misery.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 ^ A team .5 games out of first with 45 games to go. Currently sitting on Wild Card 1 regardless. People were pumped when Tulo, Price, and co came aboard while the team was at .500. A 14-2 run later and suddenly it's time to temper expectations.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I've been telling everyone the Yankees have the pitching to win it (they've been pitching well throughout this streak). The Jays possibly do have the pitching to match but they're not this good. I fully expect today and tomorrow to be low scoring games. I wouldn't be surprised if they won the series or swept us

The Jays have only scored more then 3 runs once against the yanks last 4 games. That's what makes last night loss tough. We had price going and we're up 3 to 0 in the eighth. That's the one we needed to win. A sweep would not surprise me.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Well gonna head down to the game now. Tanaka is going to be tough, and I'm still uneasy about every Estrada start. The good thing we have going for us is that Betances/Miller may not be unavailable, but we didn't exactly destroy the other Yankee relievers last week either... Offense has to step it up. Aside from that 10 run game we haven't had consistent scoring.
nextyear Verified Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Here is today's lineup from the Blue Jays twitter - . Gibbons has Colabello at 1B, hopefully that won't hurt the Blue Jays defensively. I hope Colabello will get 2 - 3 hits.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 The Jays went all in for this season. They can't possibly be this good in 2016 with 3 rotation spots needing to be filled and their three best 2015 starters (Price, Buehrle, Estrada) needing to be replaced. They better f***ing win the division. I don't want 5 more years of mediocrity after this season just for 2 months of a WC race. So yes, get pissed off when the Jays lose a winnable game against the Yankees. That's baseball, but when a manager directly leads to the loss in ways that even media members (Law) take notice, it's worth "whining" about. It's happened all season....people only noticing now because the games matter more.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Gibbons has been bad at BP management since last season.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I thought we've been through this Gibbons? Don't play f***ing collabello in the field.

guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Lolabello in the lineup playing at 1B. *Prays to Jesus this does not affect the game*
reedjohnsonfan Verified Member Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Yankees have a better starting staff even with price. Yeah I don't think it's that close. A healthy Stroman changes that quite a bit though.
