Those two prospects the A's got for Kazmir are #19 and #22 according to MLB.com in the Astros system.

Considering Kazmir's an expiring contract, that's a fair return.

Those rankings aren't up to date. Nottingham is having a good season. He's taken a step forward and would no doubt be ranked higher today.

MLB.com really needs to update that list...

Nottingham had climbed to the top 10 in the Astros system.

They remove names as prospects graduate but they don't re-evaluate the ranking themselves. That's been their m.o. for years.

None of what you just said pertains to anything that I said, but this line in particular is what makes you a hypocrite. You rage at people for telling you that your trade proposals are stupid, but those are their own opinions and their own thoughts, and they're entitled to them. Nobody said that you shouldn't be allowed to be here, or that you should be forced to think a specific way. You have a right to think and feel what you want, and so does everybody else. Why then, do you constantly harass people that don't agree with you? People have a right to dismiss or ignore your insane trade ideas without being required to offer you an explanation.

Nice try ! When you are wolf don't try to be the sheep, Just to try and support your post! Wow just wow nice try twisted but I am not buying the ******** your selling! Try again punko ! I love how those like you who attack many on here and think they are always right never get sent to thier corners by the Mods more! Then when somebody goes off your come back is to cry foul and never think you do any harm or wrong here! There are over 1000 members here who do not post here ever wonder why? It's the cyber bullies and the hive that attack others all the time, not me twisted!

Check your guns at the door or shut the f*** up! Wow :) have a nice day bitches! Lol

Who are we cheering for tomorrow? Twins or Yanks? I don't think we will catch the Yanks..they're too good. So maybe we cheer for them to beat the Twins?

cheer for Twins sweep. never root for the evil empire.

f*** the Yankees. Go Twins!

Why the hell do people keep track of the wild card standings in July? What a waste of time and blood pressure. There's no reason to give a s*** about what the Twins or the Astros are doing right now. The wild card race is extremely volatile, all that matters right now are the divisional races.

Yep. The Jays were leading the 2nd wild card last year on July 31st and by the end of the season they finished behind 4 teams in the race for the 2nd WC.

The Wild Card race will sort itself out by the end of the season. The division is what the Jays need to go after, even though I don't expect the Yankees to let up. With some 13 games remaining against them, that should be the goal. The WC is what the Jays should "settle" for....even though after 22 years without a playoff spot that would look like the holy grail at this point.

For some reason, I'm still not all that worried about the Yankees. It's probably stupid of me to still be expecting them to crash at some point, but I'm happy they swept the Orioles. I'll be a lot more comfortable with a two-team race if the Orioles and their clutch, logic-defying ******** would finally end. Also, f*** their fans.

You're kind of a homer then.

How the hell does that make me a homer? I didn't say that I thought the Jays had a better shot at winning the division than the Yankees did. My post had no mention of the Jays.

How can you not expect regression from the Yankees? I mean, if any team has enough ******** luck to ride Pineda, Tanaka, Texeira and A-Rod to the playoffs, it's the Yankees, but I don't see how you can bank on that.

on the other hand, regardless of how they fare against the rest of ALE, i can't see the Jays competing for the WS unless they empty the farm for at least 2 quality SP and 1 or 2 quality relievers. better move is to sell

Do you realize that it hasn't even been a month since you posted this??

Don't know if this holds true as I only looked at the top 20 pitchers on Espn stats this morning and found a interesting and odd fact while I did. Thought maybe the Cyborg might be able to expand or confirm this on a whole for leagues or in whole.

Outliers said most pro players are born in the first 6 months of the year hockey soccer etc! What I found was interesting so I thought I would share this with you here. With the top 20 players by wins in the American league 65 percent of them where in fact born in the first 6 months. What makes this interesting is when switching to the NL the percentage where reversed as 65 percent of the pitchers in the top twenty looked at where born in the last 6 months of the year!

Found this odd that American league pitchers are born in the first six months and national league pitchers in the last six!

Crazy s*** if it holds up through out the leagues as a whole one would think! Or if this is true of posistion players too by leagues! Hmmmmmmmm

If the Jays can take this series with the Mariners, they will gain ground on either the Yanks or the Twins who play each other. Time to go on a bit of a winning streak. I don't think they can catch the Yankees but the wild card is certainly within reach.
