Smoak is not good against lhp so this makes sense, but he better be playing the next time they face a rhp.

kind of an odd sequence of tweets that Lott brought up

Only 12 PA against LHP this year but he does have 2 HR and only 1 SO. Collabello is probably the better option but as soon as a RHP comes in Smoak should take his spot.

I don't get it. Toronto lost today?

thats the confusing part. Maybe Mr. Lawrence misheard. There were 4 teams that lost today, so far. Maybe one of them Papelbon was hoping to get traded to?

And even then, why get mad?

I think Gibbons is slowly transitioning to a platoon between Smoak/Colabello with Carrera mixed in every now and then.

What a strange tweet. I guess he tried to add context with his next tweet, but none of it makes any sense regardless. Why does Papelbon care if the Blue Jays win or lose? lol

the amazing thing with Pedroia is the home runs he hits on pitches that are shoulder high for guys who are over 6' tall. his upper cut swing is off the charts.

I like that those New Axe Bats he uses! Think I want one! Lol

Jays in line to face some tough pitching. Anibal Sanchez, Price, Verlander and Sale 4 days in a row rip

Only Price and Sale are tough. Anibal Sanchez has been horrible this year, and Verlander hasn't been the same since his return. Plus, we crush left-handed pitching.

Hates the Red Sox now?

Still doubt we face Sale....they skipped Rondon this week and unless they move him back up or call up a AAA pitcher for Sunday, Sale should pitch then

Edit: Just checked...Sale is scheduled to pitch Sunday as of now

They're gonna do Rodon on Sunday and push Sale back a day to give him extra rest. Read it on twitter, if I remember the tweet I'll edit it in

My brother (whitesox fan) just told me there is also discussion of skipping Sale's turn all together. Probably should know for sure after tonight

If Sale were to face the Jays, I fully expect the Jays to end his 10K streak.

Pillar/Colabello will end up with 6 K's between the two.

small pool of people to choose from. He was good in June.

Team was 19-9 in June weren't they?

Despite the fact that Osuna gave up two hits, a run, and didn't induce any double plays, it only took him 13 pitches to get through five batters in the 8th inning, three of which were swinging strikes.

wRC+/WAR in June

Valencia (37 PA): 190 / 0.5

Edwin: 156 / 0.7

Pillar: 153 / 1.3

Bautista: 147 / 1.1

Martin: 122 / 0.8

But Pillar has mad defense so he deserves it.

Uggh... the next two days...

Fri vs. Anibal Sanchez

Losing streaks are fun!

Who has a monster July? May was Josh, June was Pillar...Be nice if it were to be a guy like Hutch.

It would be fun if the entire team did.
