ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 can we trade away dickey, Thole and Navarro and bring up A.J. Jimenez when he is healthy? he's on the 40 man. You be waitin' a lon' tain.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 can we trade away dickey, Thole and Navarro and bring up A.J. Jimenez when he is healthy? he's on the 40 man. Yep. It's amazing how getting rid of Dickey and Navarro would probably improve the team (Norris or Doubront > 2015 Dickey, and without Navarro on the team Gibby might actually play the back-up catcher seldomly like a normal manager would).
LTR Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 No one wants Dickey. Look even Dogg knows something.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Look even Dogg knows something. I am not the dogg though,
Swervin81 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I would be more angry at Navi being gifted playing time like this, but I'm too pissed about the PanAm HOV lanes to honestly care about him.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Justin Smoak has been dead for 3 days, announcement coming soon.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Sorry, my bad, Travis is the one that passed away.
BlueBirdBro Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Watch this lineup score at least 8 runs and then Navarro will be back for the next 5.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Navarro gets a rest day. He will be back and ready for Thursday's game.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Where the hell is Travis? Can't we just one day have our best available lineup? There was actually a bit of a question as to whether Travis would be the starter again once healthy. Oh well...
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I like today's line up. Smoak > Jimmy Hoffa apparently. Ok with Goins against RHP for his glove. Not sure why he rests Travis. meh. We need this one.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Just once I'd like to see Gibby optimize the lineup. Sigh
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Where the hell is Travis? Can't we just one day have our best available lineup? Gibbons likes Navarro and Goins. Even at the expense of the team.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Gibbons likes Navarro and Goins. Even at the expense of the team. Reminds me of the Mike Scioscia and Napoli vs Mathis days Mathis > Napoli
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Tolleson activated and designated for assignment.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 encouraging to see Smoak is still alive.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 AA said he had a deal for a rental that was having a down year at '14 deadline, return was Pillar + Nolin, didn't pull trigger.
S33n Verified Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Saunders not expected back until August earliest.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Saunders not expected back until August earliest. Shame he took the route he did on the surgery trying to get back quickly. Net loss on that decision for him on his career and life.

Fitting that this comes out as soon as Pillar starts establishing himself as an everyday player... AA is better off keeping his yap shut.

For the umpteenth time, he didn't take the route he did to get back quickly. His meniscus was not repairable so they took out the chunk that was damaged since, again, it could not be repaired. Also, artificial menisci might be closer than you think: http://www.wsj.com/articles/new-fixes-for-worn-knees-1430761617

It may come as a shock to you but I haven't read all your brilliant posts and I didn't know this. I had read an article at the time that made it seem like what I suggested. Thanks.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Stress is really getting to the message board.

I meant that in general since so many posters have erroneously said that Saunders chose to have part of the meniscus removed to get back quickly. Apologies.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Hooray Justin Smoak is in the lineup today.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I guess now that Smoak is back in the lineup, it won't be a problem for the team to reveal if he was injured and what the injury was. Unless, of course, he was just in the doghouse.
