DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 If guys are on base bloop singles will score runs. Russ is the better hitter but as long as the balls are falling (he's hitting over .300 over the last couple weeks) ride the Collabello train.

DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Pretty dumb thought process. Well Russ should be hitting 5th but I don't make those decisions. I have no problem with Colabello in the middle of the lineup as long as his balls keep falling. When the luck runs out he should be on the bench.

Yes you just reworded what you've already said, still dumb.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Nothing dumb about believing in luck
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Nothing dumb about believing in luck How do you figure
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Nothing dumb about believing in luck Hard to argue with that logic. That's why I always drink and drive.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Hard to argue with that logic. That's why I always drink and drive. Talk about a dumb statement.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Talk about a dumb statement. I'll stop when my luck runs out.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Luck exists I think we should bat Goins ahead of Bautista. Sure, Bautista's a better hitter, but Goins is on a streak right now and luck exists.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 This team is so talented but Gibbons seems to have a hard on for Collabelo, Valencia, and Navarro giving them much more playing time then they deserve.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Colabello is a much better hitter than Goins. Apples v oranges. Yes, apples and oranges. We're talking about hitting a worse hitter in front of a better hitter based on luck. I can totally see how different those two situations are, they're absolutely not the same concept. lol

Where as Goins would jump from batting 9th to 3rd in your scenario. Apples and oranges.

Apples and oranges. wow This is about any worse hitter hitting in front of any better hitter because of a hot streak in any situation.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 whoosh Not at all. Your comment was irrelevant, insensitive, ignorant and asinine.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 wow This is about any worse hitter hitting in front of any better hitter because of a hot streak in any situation. I have no problem moving a guy up a spot if he's on a hot streak. I would bat Martin 5th but it's not a big deal if Gibbons is trying to ride it out.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 If luck existed, DuckDuckGose would accidentally make a logical post once in awhile. BOOM cf
theblujay Verified Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 How does one even respond to this? He's right. So obviously you don't know what to say.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 lol at everyone getting so uptight over who bats 5th/6th. The difference is so miniscule.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Russell will find his way back to hitting 5th. The over-reacting is a bit much IMO.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 cant help but wonder what Smoak would do with regular playing time can see him finally realizing his potential in the RC bandbox
