BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 i have this strange feeling the Jays will still win this game Correct Strange indeed! Don't do Drugs kids! Lol
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Who would have thought Astros would be a good team before Jays even have one post season appearence Because the AL West is a tire fire right now, outside of this team and the Angels. It's not all good for the Astros.. they need another starter or two to go with Keuchel and McHugh if they're going to contend. Feldman, Hernandez(Roberto), Peacock and Asher won't cut it, especially if the Angels start to wake up.
SAAviour Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Let's bring in goins to hit. Good choice.
Top 10 Personal Catcher Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I think Gibbons must hate Smoak.
closetjaysfan Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Did we seriously just pinch hit goins
FrozenRopes Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 When does RA get removed from the rotation? He has been underwhelming teams since 2013. 200+ innings is not good when your era is 5.59 and your record is 10-22. Time for a change.

I saw a Scott Carson tweet that he's given up 90 homers in 97 games, less than a homer a game is good right?

When we actually have someone ready to step up.. how long until Norris and/or Doubront are ready to be called back up?
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Rays lost, O's lost, don't care about the Sox at the moment until they actually catch up to the Rays, and the Yankees are getting blown out by the Royals.. perhaps the Yankees are falling back to earth? Still, it's not a good thing when the Jays don't take advantage. Can't we have one decent pitcher?
candymartinez Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Listening to this Wilner show hurts my brain.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Weak division and this team isn't taking advantage. Boy wonder can take his patience somewhere else, I'm starting to be convinced.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Raise your hand if you're tired of reading "weak division and this team isn't taking advantage". Sounds to me like when the 2 dumbasses on SN say when an opponent is using a defensive shift against a Blue Jays hitter " go ahead, take a shot, big hole on the that side". You know sort of like implying that players can just decide where to hit the ball.
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I think they represent the constant search for wins. Swiper no Swiping.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Apparently, some guy tweeted that Dickey's knuckler's average velocity was higher in 2012 than any knuckler he's thrown since. I find it hard to believe, but something to consider...or disregard.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 So Dickey is done. Ironic that Dickey is finished the same week that Syndergaard hits the majors
Praxis Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 So Dickey is done. Ironic that Dickey is finished the same week that Syndergaard hits the majors Well, it was all worth it according to Andrew Stoeten: http://news.nationalpost.com/sports/mlb/toronto-blue-jays-trade-for-r-a-dickey-made-sense-no-matter-how-good-noah-syndergaard-turns-out-to-be
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Well so much for Smoak's opportunity to play everyday-ish. So it's been 2 weeks since Bautista's been DH-ing, looks to me like they should've put him on the DL and he'd be close to returning by now. Looky what happened with Reyes, they finally put him on the DL and he's said to be recovering nicely.
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Who would have thought Astros would be a good team before Jays even have one post season appearence A couple of years ago, I thought if the Astros make it back to the playoffs before the Jays, I might just quit baseball. Having said that I don't know if the Astros actually are a good team. I'd still expect someone else to win that division.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 The blue jays don't deserve us and this fan base
Praxis Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 The blue jays don't deserve us and this fan base Owners of the longest playoff drought not just in baseball but in all major league sports? No, no they certainly don't.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 So Dickey is done. Ironic that Dickey is finished the same week that Syndergaard hits the majors In my MLB the Show simulation of the 2015 season, Dickey crashes and burns.
Statman Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 In my MLB the Show simulation of the 2015 season, Dickey crashes and burns. They had him retiring after 2015 in my season. I hope we should be this lucky.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 The first thing I did in my franchise was trade dickey lol
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 MLB The Show is unplayable until the Hybrid roster comes out. Smh. Isn't the hybrid roster out? I downloaded a decent roster with the top spects in the game. I made some changes obviously though it was pretty decent. I couldn't wait so late to start my franchise haha.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 They had him retiring after 2015 in my season. I hope we should be this lucky. Yeah it was in The Show 14. I moved Dickey to the bullpen in June and then he retired after the season lol.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Well, it was all worth it according to Andrew Stoeten: http://news.nationalpost.com/sports/mlb/toronto-blue-jays-trade-for-r-a-dickey-made-sense-no-matter-how-good-noah-syndergaard-turns-out-to-be "You’ll still find fans who dispute this — who believe that the Jays should have stayed the course and waited for the prospects to develop." Boy Stoeten just won't let go of this false dichotomy. It was never a choice between "do nothing" and "do something stupid".
Smokey Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Well, it was all worth it according to Andrew Stoeten: http://news.nationalpost.com/sports/mlb/toronto-blue-jays-trade-for-r-a-dickey-made-sense-no-matter-how-good-noah-syndergaard-turns-out-to-be "Knowing what we know now, I wouldn’t make the trade again. But I also wouldn’t give up the idea of two years of what should have — could have — been some incredibly exciting times at the ballpark. It’s just a shame it didn’t work out." What should have been? Shame it didn't work out? This clown can pretend that those teams were on the cusp of greatness all he wants, but the last two years have proven that they were far from it and overpaying for Dickey was a total miscalculation. JPA was the primary catcher of that team FFS... What should have been??? Lol GFY Stoeten.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I haven't been on here mostly because... Sucky team is sucky
