OtisNixonFan Verified Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 The book is out on Travis. If he doesn't adjust and lay off junkballs off the plate he'll crash back to earth pretty quick.

Top 10 Personal Catcher Verified Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Ah crap! Nice effort in the 9th. Pineda did pitch a great game. Seriously though, what is the deal with these umps? This one called several "strikes" that were well off the plate against both teams. Does anyone have any idea who is in charge of quality control regarding umpire performance?
Top 10 Personal Catcher Verified Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 The book is out on Travis. If he doesn't adjust and lay off junkballs off the plate he'll crash back to earth pretty quick. He'll adjust. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go into a funk while he does it though. However, he will adjust; I feel like he's too smart not to. Either way, this is not the time to be worrying too much about Devon Travis.
OtisNixonFan Verified Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I'm not worried is just been apparent he can't lay off them of late. That being said, god help you of you make a mistake to him on the inner half.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Martin is now slashing .263/.388/.575 Where are the haters at?
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Just came back from the game. Here is another tale: Jake: Why did this team sign Russell Martin? We already had a good catcher in Navarro me: ... Jake: I know he's injured right now, but he should be at 1B when he comes back. He's better than Smoak me: We don't really need his offense, or whatever you call it. Besides, Smoak will provide us better value as a defensive 1B. Jake: It's easy for catchers to transition to 1B, it shouldn't be that bad...he's clutch too me: ...
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Right here. Hes hitting under .270. Hes garbage. I hope you're trolling because you're comparing his batting avg to league average? 162 wRC+

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Jake needs to stop following baseball. that's not the worst of it. He told me Kawasaki is a better player than Goins. edit: defensively*
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 that's not the worst of it. He told me Kawasaki is a better player than Goins. edit: defensively* Boy.. Jake should really quit watching baseball.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Man this pitching, I love this team but I cant see us winning if we keep giving up 5-6 runs a night. I am still confident that the pitching will come around, and that this team will make a serious run at a playoff spot, but they are hard to watch.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Arden Zwelling Estrada admitted he was fatigued after the fourth inning tonight -- Gibby asked Estrada if he wanted the fifth, he said yes Mentiroso!!
