He is 6-3 with a 2.55 ERA in 17 games (11 starts) against the Bombers. In seven starts since the beginning of 2013, Dickey has held the Yankees to 12 runs (11 earned) in 47 1/3 innings, a 2.09 ERA. Devon Travis returned to the Blue Jays' lineup this weekend from a collarbone injury he suffered on Thursday and picked up right where he left off, hitting his first career grand slam on Sunday in Cleveland. Travis leads all Major League second basemen with seven homers, 23 RBIs and a .625 slugging percentage. The Blue Jays have posted winning home marks against the Yankee over each of the five previous years. They capped a 3-7 trip by blowing a five-run lead in Sunday's 10-7 loss to Cleveland. Toronto starters posted a 7.36 ERA on the trip. The Blue Jays have baseball's worst ERA (5.13) and have issued the second-most walks (100). Yankees: Bautista went 2 for 4 with a homer last year against Chase Whitley, who will make his second start for New York after allowing one run in five innings in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Tampa Bay. The right-hander went 4-3 with a 5.23 ERA last year as a rookie before posting a 1.17 ERA this spring. The Yankees' bullpen has ranked among the best in baseball, entering play on Sunday with a 1.64 ERA, good for third in the Majors. Right-hander Dellin Betances and left-hander Andrew Miller are ranked first and second among Major League relievers in strikeouts, and entered play Sunday having combined for 27 innings without an earned run. Ellsbury is 14 for 26 over a six-game hitting streak, and Brett Gardner went 5 for 14 with six RBIs in Boston. The Yankees have 33 homers, good for second in the AL, and Toronto is third at 32. HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 s***** line-up Saunders isn't available due to knee fluid draining other than PH
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Yes, we don't need to hear the complaints about Thole batting 6th... I mean, the Yanks have a .155 hitting Drew batting fifth, and a .197 hitting Beltran batting cleanup! This Yankees team wouldn't be where it is without the bullpen and Ellsbury/Gardner.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 s***** line-up Saunders isn't available due to knee fluid draining other than PH Both lineups are sh**. Drew batting 5th? No Tex or McCann?

If you want to use averages, better look at Bautista and E5.

Except they expect their starting pitching to keep them close enough to win games
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Except they expect their starting pitching to keep them close enough to win games They're going to need a deep outing from Whitley.. the bullpen is a little worn from that Red Sox game last night. And I doubt we'll see Miller tonight (threw 30+ pitches last night).
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Are those vs batter stats Dickey vs. current jays hitters?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 If the jays are okay with Valencia playing the outfield then why don't they try Smoak out there?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Why is Carrera on this team... yuck Because AA is really bad at roster management and to fill the bunt quota
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Really need to win this series!!!!!! Go Blue Jays
Zaun of the Dead Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 won't be watching but hope the jays win
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 This should be a fun game. The Jays need to win the series. It's a month in and they're already 4.5 back. Still early but time to start getting the ball rolling.
bendera3 Verified Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 just need to start winning.... I want the Jays to go on a magical run like they did during a month last year.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I want the Jays to go on a magical run like they did during a month last year. unless they are eating roasted leprechaun and unicorn I wouldn't bet on it.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Why is Carrera on this team... yuck Carrera's not that bad, projects solidly above-replacement. Would probably be fine as a full-time fourth outfielder who never faces lefties.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Whats the latest on bautista? Can he get back to RF soon?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 If you were to catch Arod's 661 HR, how much do you think it would be worth?
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Whats the latest on bautista? Can he get back to RF soon? Next week I think he will start throwing.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Whats the latest on bautista? Can he get back to RF soon? He's retiring from the outfield
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 A rare bad AB from Travis. Whitley's stuff looks pretty mediocre.
