What would be the cost difference in July by trading for a rental like Zimmerman and signing an FA in the off season compared to unloading for Hamels? Seems like a cheaper deal with more options for the future, no?

AA tends to overpay for pitching so he'll overpay for whomever he acquires. We'll see what he gives up.

It's probably just me, but is Hutchison throwing all his pitches earlier in the game than I remember? I wonder if there's somewhere to find this information.

 

It seems he's throwing too many of his secondary pitches, again, "it seems" so take it with a grain or 2 of salt.

Anyone who thinks that being a Jays fan is frustrating should try being an Indians fan for a day. 10-17 April last year finishing 85-77 in a year where they are 11th in runs scored and 2nd in FIP and xFIP. This year they have one of the best pitching staffs by the projections and start with a 7-14 April. They were last in AL attendance last year and most of all...most of their fans have to live in Cleveland. Be happy with your Jays.
