BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 When Bauer isn't throwing strikes, really??? This is not the first time we have pulled this idiocy. We were sac bunting in the 4th in Fenway!
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 and hes back to throwing balls, so dumb
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 God I hate bunts. Gave a struggling Bauer 33% of rope.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Yan Gomes must be facepalming wherever he is.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 When will Gibby figure out that bunting always ends up f***ing us in the end.
fireballW Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Guy can't throw strikes at all. walked 7 and 8 and 2-0 count to 9 hitter and bunt.... AWESOME
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 3 walks in 1 inning and no runs, beyond awfull.
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 What are Bautista's stats with RISP so far this season? Can someone post them here?
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Nasty breaking ball....hard to lay off 2-2. um...that was an epic wasted opp
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 3 walks in 1 inning and no runs, beyond awfull. Either that or Bauer is good at limiting hits, to offset his high walk rates..
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Great job Jose. I'm sure it was umpy's fault somehow Castro is Rivera?
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Kyle @ Driveline @drivelinebases 1m1 minute ago Trevor walks 2, one not even close. Jays bunt, then runner thrown out on a 3-2 GB. Then another walk and Bautista is punched. #stopbunting
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Either that or Bauer is good at limiting hits, to offset his high walk rates.. We know someone like that with initials AS
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Has anyone on this board watched Bauer pitch this year? This has been typical of him.. he doesn't allow many hits, but walks are an issue..
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH IDIOCY FROM A MANAGER IN ALL MY YEARS WATCHING BASEBALL. cf
ScientificReason Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Either that or Bauer is good at limiting hits, to offset his high walk rates.. There were numerous pitches right down the middle, several hard hit balls first 2 innings as well. You don't need a hit to score a runner from third less then 2 outs.
fireballW Verified Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 If we got a few fluke hits against a dominant pitcher and our 9 guy was up, maybe I could understand bunting. But when it is 2-0 after her walked the 7 and 8 guys then whyyyy not at least take a pitch.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 When will Gibby figure out that bunting always ends up f***ing us in the end. It doesn't always screw the team over but a strategy of conceding progress is likely going to result in... well, not getting as much progress as possible.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Has anyone on this board watched Bauer pitch this year? This has been typical of him.. he doesn't allow many hits, but walks are an issue.. Which is why, especially after getting a 2-0 count you don't bunt
