Lol I never said anything about Hendriks. It was Jenkins and Boyd. Hendricks is much better than both.

Jeez. SSS but Hendriks 22.1 IP as reliever: 11.28 K/9, 1.61 BB/9, 2.64 xFIP.

 

And if i remember correctly from his last start he had a little more giddy up on his fastball which is not completely surprising.

Good chance it's Goins that goes down as Tolleson has much more versatility. Would allow you to use Bautista at 1B and still DH another OF if you needed to.

 

um, sorry Tolleson does NOT have more versatility. He does not play average defence at 2b or SS.

Damn, so does that mean that Reyes will go on the DL to start the season? :/

 

If Reyes was going on the DL, they woulnd't have had to DFA Redmond to make room for Goins. He's day to day.

I'll be pedantic but Tolleson can play 6 positions, he doesn't play anyone of them very well but he can play them. Goins plays 2 and might be experimenting on a 3rd and 4th, Tolleson is more versatile by definition. I'd rather have Tolleson myself. I like Goins glove but that bat even on the bench doesn't play imo.

and Tolleson ain't too bad out of the pen as well ... but i'd still take Goins' superb D ... are we ever gonna really need Tolleson's half decent stick against lefties with this lineup?
