I thought Sanchez was supposed to be good. he looked like Josh Towers tonight.

 

Up to a 7 MPH drop in his fastball. I remember him throwing 98 topping out at a 100 in the bullpen. He needs to make some adjustments that is for sure.

I think AA's plan was one of Estrada, Sanchez or Norris as the 5th starter, move Navarro for pen help. Stroman going down really hurt, and teams not wanting Navarro's salary meant AA was in a tough spot with no money. He was pretty much forced to give young arms a long look but I don't think it was plan A. Still should have kept Delabar and stretched out Osuna though IMO.

 

I agree with this except that Navarro wasn't moved because teams that want to win won't trade good relievers. Also I think AA had Castro pegged to be in the pen, but Stroman going down brought Osuna into the mix. I agree Osuna should be stretched out and think he will if Sanchez is moved to the pen.

Estrada has looked pretty bad this year so far. Won't get any better as the weather gets warmer either in these ballparks. I'd still give Sanchez a couple more starts to see if he can figure it out anyways.

Estrada just couldn't be worse for the A.L. east, Unless he gets his velocity back up he will be hit hard.
