Atlanta Braves trade Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton, Jr. to the San Diego Padres for Matthew Wisler, Jordan Paroubeck, Carlos Quentin, Cameron Maybin, and the 41st overall pick of the 2015 MLB Draft.

Even with Upton it cost the Padres 2 decent prospects and an early draft pick. We would have had to pay out the ass.

I think they're not competing this year, so why keep him when you can write him off the books?
