Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 Martin can catch Dickey. Settled then. Someone tell AA/Gibby our bench will be Goins, Tolleson, Navarro/smoak, & Valencia.. and a crying dickey on the side.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Thole 4.085 years of service. Really, does anyone give an actual f*** if Thole or Tolleson get picked up on waivers? Uh yes? What if Martin is injured? Who in the majors is left that can catch Dickey? Thole would be traded and the team that has him would ask for a premium cause f*** you Nickeas has retired That +40 year old guy we had two years ago is probably retired too

Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Kawasaki,Valencia,Navarro,Gindle(probably Tolleson for some reason). Travis probably isn't going North imo. I'm actually hoping(50/50) on even Norris going down to start the year. Actually with Izturis down there is a very good chance that Travis heads north.

I'm actually hoping(50/50) on even Norris going down to start the year. IMO there's a 1% chance Norris doesn't make the team, and 20% chance Travis doesn't. I think Travis has shown enough to win the starting job, especially with Izturis down.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 Speculate all you want fellas. Even if any of Castro.Osuna.Norris or Travis make the team out of spring it's highly unlikely the FO is dumb enough to give up an extra year for a couple weeks. Good point. Let Izturis backup ss/2B and send Goins down.

Honestly i think the 2 week rule is dumb as f*** and i hope Bryant does not get stuck in the same category. I think you take the best team you can to the regular season whether he is a rookie or not. I hate the idea of making a the team weaker for 2 weeks to save a year.... Just hope you don't miss the playoffs by 1 game.

HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 1 full year of an experienced player is very likely to get you farther than 2 weeks of a rookie making his major league debut. I'm 100% on the side of clubs. You keep the guy down to save time.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Yeah I like Goins because he can provide excellent defense at both mid infield corners and his s***** bat won't be too much of a problem with our line-up. I think he could do well at 3B if given a try and I hear they are trying him out in the outfield. I like the idea of using Goins as a late inning D move with a lead. get a couple runs up and take Reyes out in the 6th or 7th inning.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 ugh, I wish we could do away with izturis and navarro

glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Norris was called up last September so he'd have to be down more than 2 weeks to add a year of service, right?
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2015 Author Posted March 27, 2015 Rain clouds approaching Dunedin hopefully they hold off http://www.intellicast.com/Local/WxMap.aspx Looks like a decent amount too
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 ugh, I wish we could do away with izturis and navarro I'm more worried about Navarro. as long as Travis does well Izturis will not be anything more than a bench piece. They will find all kinds of really stupid reasons to get Navarro into the lineup. we all know they will.
jayswin11 Verified Member Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 If we need sineine to catch Dickey in a pinch what about just calling up Jimenez? Dickey will probably be gone after this year unless he has a very good season. Next year Hutch Stro Norris Sanchez Castro

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Pretty sure Travis has cemented the second base job. Hes been playing with Reyes a ton the last couple of weeks. Thats a pretty sure sign. *He's* *That's*
