gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Valencia with another solid base hit to CF.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Smoak rips a double inside the bag at first. Valencia scores, Carrera to third. One out. 4-2 Jays.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Anyone notice Smoak off the plate a bit. Would help with him getting jammed so much.
Governator Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Maybe Smoak isn't throwing in the towel afterall
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 "Smoak was smoked at the plate" jesus
S33n Verified Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 can a third base coach lose his job in ST?
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Travis chops a double over the third baseman. Carrera scores, Smoak out at home. 5-2 Jays.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 can a third base coach lose his job in ST? it was a good call. Revere has the worst arm in the majors.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 He also missed 40 days with an oblique strain last year, which made it harder for him to shoot to AAA. True dat. I also seem to remember that he struggled at the plate after coming back from the oblique injury. Once he got over the injury and got his timing back (convenient assumption here), he seemed to take off.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Sanchez, Castro doing fairly well also, no? Castro and Osuna as well. They bring a smile to my face. Sanchez has been as expected. I don't think he looks particularly good or bad.
S33n Verified Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 it was a good call. Revere has the worst arm in the majors. Maybe this time, but my comment wasn't made based on one play.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Suddenly I'm feeling comfortable about the bottom of the lineup
Cyris Verified Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Very small sample but Smoak might be finding his swing. The team really needs his D at first with the arms of Donaldson and Reyes plus possibly the rookie Travis as the rest of the infeild. But no matter how much i value his D he has to produce to justify being the starting firstbaseman.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Pompey rips a base hit down the right field line, Travis scores. 6-2 Jays.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Travis has turned it on in a big way
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Navarro grounds out to 3B. Inning over. 6-2 Jays after 7 1/2.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Devon Travis and Daniel Norris are kind of injecting optimism into this once depressing spring Overall, when you factor in these 2 plus Pompey, Stroman, Hutchison, Sanchez, this team is so much more fun to watch, regardless of whether they make the playoffs or not. Then you add Martin, Donaldson and Saunders and you get my drift. Freakin' injury to Stroman was a huge blow. I think we deserve an epic RR comeback to make up for it.
Cyris Verified Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Many people saw the bottom of the lineup as a negitive and really there is lots of potential there but lots of question marks too.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Tollenson at 3B. Smoak at 1B.
Cyris Verified Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I'm sure it was a joke. It if we are hoping for a veteran pitcher who is currently out of the picture (lol) to make a huge career turn around and make an impact. I think Santana would be a much more likely candidate.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Revere with a high chopper up the middle that gets through for a base hit.
bluebird Verified Member Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 i like our line up this year better
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 21, 2015 Author Posted March 21, 2015 Galvis reaches out and punches a blooper into CF. No out, first and second.
