Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Probably Santana's last kick at the can He either just wants to top up his earnings a bit or truly desires the glory and satisfaction of winning games.... let's hope the latter
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I'd work harder at my job if I got incentives. "Fewer people swear at you on the phone, you get a bonus!"... That sort of thing. hard for people not to swear at you when you work at a sex hot line deadpool.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 He doesn't deserve a nickname. Hes simply Izturis or piece of s***. You can find guys who provide similar value on minor league deals making the league minimum. Like?
RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Johan was my favourite player in the world for a few years. Hope he can come in and surprise.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 hard for people not to swear at you when you work at a sex hot line deadpool. Hey, when you've got a sultry voice like mine, you'd be a fool not to use it for fun and profit!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Even if Johan comes back and pitches like he did in 2012 that would still be pretty unsatisfactory... He put up a 4.02 xFIP (3.93 SIERRA) and 1.3 WAR in just over a half season of innings. Nothing wrong with that at all from a 5th starter.
GeorgiaPeach Verified Member Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Hey, when you've got a sultry voice like mine, you'd be a fool not to use it for fun and profit! And your talents are being wasted playing paradiddles.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 And your talents are being wasted playing paradiddles. lol...he's going to kill you!!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 To many to list. They are on every roster in baseball. Should be easy to name one then.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Should be easy to name one then. Rafael Furcal! Don't know if he's healthy though.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Probably Santana's last kick at the can He either just wants to top up his earnings a bit or truly desires the glory and satisfaction of winning games.... let's hope the latter Unless he is horrendous with money management, I doubt this has anything to do with that. He was an elite SP in his prime and probably wants to go out on a high note.
Nafro Verified Member Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I would think he has a desire to win a World Series. I would also think he would like to reach 150 wins (he has 139) and 2000 strikeouts (he has 1988).
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Should be easy to name one then. Plus, this unnamed player has to meet the criteria you listed in terms of his previous 3 seasons. I don't think guys with that track record and at the same age sign minor league deals, but I'm often wrong so we'll see.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 To many to list. They are on every roster in baseball. You're a f***ing joke .
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 And your talents are being wasted playing paradiddles. Probably, but I'm more of a flamatap man... Seriously, I use those in almost every fill I play. lol...he's going to kill you!! Hey, he just appreciates a quality phone-sex operator, can't blame a guy for that.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Cool But how does he look?? Not completely hopeless presumedly.
Governator Community Moderator Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 He's probably staying around because he sees 2 glaring holes at the back of our rotation and could conceivably find himself pitching in the bigs again because of it.

Yeah it's not like he's ready and being denied an opportunity. He's simply not ready so he might as well stay where he is. He won't find a better opportunity elsewhere anyways.
