Shame that the first couple of catchers to get injured didn't lead to good Navarro trade fits.

Boston in the division, Cleveland likes framing too much.

Need Saltalamacchia or someone to get injured.

I've always wondered, and now that Schilling brings it up, is there any rule that prevents a hitter from simply looking back at the catcher's signs?

getting drilled in the middle of the back? it's always worked, just gets used a little less in the modern era.

Can't wait for Drew Rucinskis start on Tuesday!

He's starting? I need this so bad in the LOD.

Shilling is right, who tf does he think he is not backing up bases?

Now I wish he has a melt down and drills a batter. Preferably A-Rod

sox v yanks game is a lot of offense. neither pitcher or defense looking good.

they commentators are trashing Buchholz who is getting pissed and not covering his spot after he gives up hits. The yanks are NOT showing him any respect. running at will.

no way I am seeing the end of this game. it's going to be a 5 hour game unless they have rain or a mercy rule.

Our game was still bad lol toook too long, but was so damn worth it

O'day vs. Bautista >>>>>>>>>>

Pillar's gloveless catch was the highlight of the game and it wasn't the only highlight play Pillar had.

O'day is bautistas bitch, love it.

There needs to be more heated action in baseball. Meaningful chirping, chin music, HBPs, etc. As much as I hate McCann I'm glad he kept starting issues with players for taking too long to watch homers. Gomez vs. McCann was incredible.

Gomez vs. Gerritt Cole was hilarious too lol. My favourite Bautista moment has to be him vs. Ivan Nova in the 54 hr season loooool

I agree that there aren't enough pitchers willing to pitch inside and move hitters off the plate

Pillar's on fire

sure, when he doesn't take plays off or forget why he's at the plate. lol he's had some great stuff and a couple times you just have to shake your head.

I'm really hoping that the Jays and O's keep doing what they've done the last two seasons, pitching inside, s*** talking and high tension between teams. Makes for exciting baseball.

The only thing annoying about Pillar is if he's in a clutch situation he just goes full retard with his swings, trying to be a hero.

I will deal with it if it includes these plays.

yeap, modern baseball has become way to friendly. Cant remember where I read it, but there was an article that talked about guys not having 4 hit days because if you had 3 the pitcher would whistle you a courtesy call in the back and make you really uncomfortable the rest of the series.

And Tommy Layne walks in a run and will likely get rewarded with a bus ticket to Pawtucket after this with Robbie Ross(Uehara and a long-man will likely be recalled tomorrow).
