Laika Community Moderator Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Details so far are that Reyes grabbed his wife by the throat and shoved her into a sliding glass door. Hotel security had to call the police. It's on deadspin. f*** Jose Reyes
Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Do you have ADHD, or any other mental health issues? Just ADHD, which would technically be a mental health issue. Though instead of treating with medication, I find reading, listening to sports on the radio, making to do lists helps; and most importantly 30-60 minutes of exercise daily. I'm not that easily offended....

It's on deadspin. f*** Jose Reyes Link http://deadspin.com/report-jose-reyes-arrested-after-shoving-wife-into-sli-1741619008 Colorado Rockies shortstop José Reyes was arrested on Halloween for allegedly grabbing his wife by the throat and shoving her into a sliding glass door, according to TV station KHNL in Hawaii. The alleged assault took place at the Four Seasons Hualalai, and Reyes was arrested after security called police, according to the station. This summer Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association signed an agreement that fully governs the league’s rights and responsibilities when players are accused, but have not yet been convicted, of crimes like domestic violence. The commissioner can place players on administrative leave for a week before assessing discipline, which can then be appealed to an independent arbitrator. Players can also be suspended while charges are pending, though Opening Day isn’t for another five months.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Wow... I would never have thought Reyes would do something like that... He seemed like a good guy. This is unfortunate. Too many athletes can't control their anger

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Blue Jays dodged a bullet. phew
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Blue Jays dodged a bullet. phew On the one hand, I get what you're saying. I'm glad we won't get to see him play for the team we root for but on the other hand our own fandom is not really what's impacted here. This sounds like a very violent, probably quite traumatic assault.
Nafro Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Interesting, yet you fade people who use meds? I have no problem with anyone or their medication use. That is between them and their doctor. I just feel ADHD medication like Adderall, can be used as a performance enhancing tool in baseball.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 rip Ang He sure loves his goats and donkeys.
King Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 What did ang do? Posted a picture of a visibly injured donkey lying on a bed and said "Jose Reyes wife after altercation"
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Wtf? That was totally unexpected from Reyes...

venema20 Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Former teammate of Tommy Hanson Jordan Schafer just tweeted out "This breaks my heart. RIP TH." Hoping it is not true but it doesn't look good. So sad.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Wtf? That was totally unexpected from Reyes... For sure. I'm going to wait and see if it is true before judging, but too bad if it is.
baubau Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Ha, Ang. You crazy Mexican. Love you. But on a serious note, really? Reyes. This dude: http://gifs.houseofthebluebird.com/wp-content/uploads/JoseReyesDancingWithTheGroundcrew.gif I mean, I know you shouldn't judge someone by their appearance but if you were to ask me "hey who in the BJs past/present team do you think could abuse anyone" I'd probably go Bautista http://www.adweek.com/files/imagecache/node-detail/news_article/jose-bautista-01-2015.jpg I hope Reyes' wife is okay.

WTF is this
Art Vandelay Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I was wondering how Reyes was doing after the trade, since he just missed being part of a playoff team, so this is sad to see. Not that it's an excuse, but it wouldn't surprise me if the trade set him down into a bit of a spiral.
bowld Verified Member Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 RIP Hanson. Anyone know what led to the coma to begin with? Drugs?
