He's probably not tangibly less intelligent than most people, just indoctrinated.

If I became PM, first thing I'd do is make it illegal to force religion on young children. It's basically child abuse to strip them of free will that, most of the time, lasts their entire lives.

People with your views find it difficult to even get into politics because they are vilified by all religious people. It's a vicious circle.

On the plus side, traditional religion is slowly dying in Canada and the percentage of atheists has doubled in the past 20 years. It would be moving a lot faster if we weren't importing millions highly religious immigrants and creating a new problem.

My parents never had me baptized. Both of them figured it was my right to grow up and figure out for myself what I believed and didn't believe in. Didn't realize it until I was older just how progressive that was and I thank them for it.

I started working at 14 and asked for shifts on Sunday mornings just so they couldn't make me go to church, lol. I always had a keen interest in science and nature though, so it was always incompatible with those beliefs. Indoctrinated or not, I have no sympathy for those who aren't smart enough to see the truth.

Same thing for me and I'm probably older than you.

semi-related.

I once had a FWB in high school, smoking hot and such a fiend. But she didn't want to go out with me because I wasn't Christian.

She later went out with an awkward guy who was a devout Christian.

religious bitches be cray

So how about we get back to talking baseball, instead of bashing Christianity (and religion/faith in general). So much misinformation in the last few posts it's sad, but I don't want to digress and get into an argument about it. We're all free to have our own beliefs, lets be thankful for that, and keep the baseball forum to baseball...

I'm still trying to figure out what an "American" Christian is? Seriously?

It's like a regular Christian except they hate Mexicans

okay time to cut the Christian bashing on the main board. I apologize for starting this. I don't like to delete posts so I'm just asking that it stops.

Sources: The #Rockies have discussed internally the possibility of signing free agent Daniel Murphy to play first base.

According to fangrpahs he's played 1B and has a positive DRS overall. So he may be a better defensive 1B than 2B, or at least just as bad. Not sure if 110 wRC+ player for the past few years is ideal at 1B tho.. just sign Davis.

The average wRC+ for 1B last season was 113. Signing Murphy for what he would likely cost to be a below-average first baseman would be pretty stupid.

Byung-Ho Park bidding. Jays still in the running (Indians, Tigers, Orioles, Padres, Rangers are out)

SATURDAY: Neither the Indians nor the Tigers submitted the winning bid for Park, via MLB.com’s Jordan Bastian and MLive.com’s Chris Iott (on Twitter). The Indians did bid for Park, although their bid came up short; the Tigers did not bid for him. The Rangers are not the team either, via a tweet from MLB.com’s T.R. Sullivan. The Orioles, who looked like a potential fit for Park, were outbid and will not be signing him, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun tweets. The Padres did not win the bidding either, according to Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune (on Twitter).

If the jays sign Davis, Baltimore Hangout will commit mass suicide.

So if the Indians bid then you know Shapiro wanted him at least a little bit

The guy will hit 60+ HRs.

You know he already plays in a hitter's park, right? Has his entire career.

Baltimore fans claim that every hitter that plays for the Jays becomes much better than when he plays for others, by their logic, he's going to hit 60+ HRs and O's Hangout fans are going to cry.
