Are you able to post the entire article? Or at least the top 15?

I like how they used criteria about 5 factors although I think Management should be weighed more heavily. By that criteria I would think Jays should be a lot higher. Top 5 Major league team, Top 5-10 Finance, Top 10 Management team

Yea, 2019 as well. Still...

20-30% chance Mets win a World Series in one of those years?

Nah. They probably SHOULD but they will probably find a way to blow it?

Phillies introducing 'PHIL'!

http://mobile.philly.com/beta?wss=/philly/blogs/phillies_zone&id=341221632

The Phillies new proprietary information system has launched as the team takes a big step in catching up in the analytics department.

General manager Matt Klentak said he is currently working with a beta version of the custom-made sabermetrics system. Klentak said the system - aptly named PHIL - is a place for the team to store and manipulate data, including scouting reports, medical information, basic statistics, and “refined, nuances statistical information.” The PHIL acronym stands for “Phillies Holistic Information Location.”

“Basically it’s a place to house all of our information and synthesize it and try to manage it and pool it and bring all together,” Klentak said. “That’s what PHIL will provide. I’m new to it. I was not involved in the design of it, but I’m getting more and more familiar with it. We’re making some tweaks to it to make sure it suits what we’re looking to do and what we’re hoping to achieve. It’s close to its official launch.”

The Phillies had long been slow to embrace analytics. ESPN ranked the organization last February as the last team - No. 122 - in the “Great Analytics Race.” The report said the organization “did not demonstrate any real faith in the analytic approach.” The arrival of Klentak, and team president Andy MacPhail, along with the launch of PHIL could change that.

Phillies partner John Middleton first discussed PHIL in June when the team hired MacPhail. Middleton said the team would “move forward aggressively” in the sabermetrics. Former president Pat Gillick said last season that the team had six people in their analytics department.

"I can assure you as you already probably know that sabermetrics is something of intense interest of the ownership,” MacPhail said after he was hired.

He should put a line through it each year and keep putting the next year below it. Or cover it with 1986 lol

Exactly. Collins and the FO will find a way to squander their chances despite that cheap awesome rotation.

Lance Berkman, after fighting against Transgender's to be able to use the Ladies room in Houston, now says

“To me tolerance is the virtue that’s killing this country,” he said on a Houston’s KTRH 740 AM on Wednesday. “We’re tolerant of everything. You know, everything is okay, and as long as you want to do it and as long as it feels good to you then it’s perfectly acceptable do it. Those are the kinds of things that lead you down a slippery slope, and you’ll get in trouble in a hurry.”

Berkman had a lot more to say (the Houston Chronicle posted the full 12-minute interview), including saying that it was his duty as a Christian to do what he could to halt the “LGBT agenda.”

“As a Christian I felt that I had an obligation to stand for what is right,” Berkman said. “I am about articulating my belief system and taking a stand for it when I have the opportunity.”

Berkman - "Christian" that advocates things that are an exact contradiction of things that are Christian. Just like most American "Christians".

Intolerance = Christian value

Lol wut. Hating gays is completely Christian. Baseless discrimination is a big part of most major religions.

I would be interested to hear Berkman define "slippery slope" and what "trouble" is going to arrive in a hurry.

Religion is the worst.

I think the point is that this discrimination has no basis in the actual teachings of Christ. Jesus did not teach hate, intolerance, etc. yet people like Lance continue to use Christianity as a crutch for it.

Wow Lance Berkman is dumn

He's probably not tangibly less intelligent than most people, just indoctrinated.

If I became PM, first thing I'd do is make it illegal to force religion on young children. It's basically child abuse to strip them of free will that, most of the time, lasts their entire lives.
