He's not pitching against us this weekend and thanks to Evoldi, Tanaka is.

Not sure if to smile or cry.

Just split in NY and take the series in Toronto

Winning the series in NY or sweeping is a possibility too. I love how you're acting as if the Jays have no chance in Yankee Stadium and as such a split is the best possible outcome.

We'll see after this weekend. Our pitching outside of Price is shaky.

All the Giants' infielders are approaching or above 4 WAR and are well above averge hitters.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Adam Warren being stretched out to take Eovaldi's rotation spot, Cashman says he'll need time to work up to it of course

If they're doing this, this late into the season, either they have no confidence in Sabathia, no confidence in Eovaldi being healthy, or both.

Well regarding Eovaldi, teams don't f*** around with elbow inflammation. He might be done for the year, unless New York wants to take him straight from a throwing program to a playoff start.

Which likely means Warren and/or Mitchell will likely be piggy-backed with Sabathia and Severino in their starts, with Sabathia being garbage and Severino on an innings limit.

Does it mean they want him to pitch instead of Tanaka on Sunday? No way they leave out their best pitcher against us.

They won't be shutting him down. He'll be in their rotation until their season is over.

That is most likely true with Eovaldi going down, but I doubt we'll be seeing many 7 or 8 inning games out of him for the rest of the season unless his pitch count is way down. Just an outside perspective though. It's not like their fan base is starving to see the playoffs after a 22 year drought so they are probably more reluctant to risk blowing out their best prospect's arm than we would be.
